I tried different products, this was the most helpful one in my classroom.

TL;DR: Returned after 1 day, only had pen accessory as I wouldn't need the others most of the time. This was mainly intended to be an alternate to ipad pro for my train rides into work and later as a mobile computer for work. So I thought I could get by without keyboard or mouse much and use my at home peripherals in a crunch. This machine gets very hot while charging+using though it dissipated quickly afterwards (this is good). I "feared" it might get hot while on the train (watching videos?) but I doubt this would be the case. Pros: - Windows hello was excellent. - Form factor is very nice, light. - Display looks great. Cons (from one day of use so take with grain of salt): - Without keyboard the touchscreen keyboard is manageable but doesn't always come up on prompts unless you manually activate it. - Requires a lot of accessories for at home updates (usb3 to ethernet), display (mini displayport to hdmi), keyboard/mouse (bluetooth or physical). Ultimately I just wanted a media playback device, I should have just bought the ipad pro, but I'm going to stick with watching movies on my iphone. Disclaimer: Several of my friends/relatives have a surface (older) and swear by it. For casual usage I'm sure this thing is excellent with i5/8gb/256 but long term I'm sure it would lose its appeal.

I needed a windows operating system for work related activities, and this 2-in-1 fit the bill. The ability to switch to the tablet view when relaxing is great. Also, it's very light and is easy to carry to and from Client locations.

I love this computer, easy to carry on the go! The perfect size!

This has been an incredible workhorse at home and on the road, no matter the need. I look forward to the day I will need to upgrade to next generation, but this one is fantastic.

I really love how light this laptop is even with the keyboard, as well as the touch screen feature. I am replacing an older surface so I already know how to work with it but it is not hard to learn if you’ve never used a surface before.

This is great for the average user, as a tablet or a laptop. I use it to lounge around doing simple tasks as a tablet, and also plug it into the dock and push two 32" monitors using the mini-Displayports to do many things at once.

I was looking for a new computer that I could use similar to my tablet, but could do what my laptop at work does. I went to my local store twice before going with the surface pro and I'm very happy with my purchase. I was looking at 2 in 1's, but wasn't loving the keyboard still being attached while in tablet mode. I wanted to make sure I could start it up quick and had enough storage to hold personal documents and it does just that. I love being able to use the pen. The screen has beautiful color. I'm also able to increase storage space with an SD card. It's also a pretty solid device. The guy in the store beat on the screen and it had no problems taking the hits. The guys in the store were also extremely helpful in answering my 100 questions to find the right computer. Henrietta Best Buy is great!

We buy these for work. They're great little tablets/computers and the only reason we replaced one this time was because we needed more storage. Get a bigger drive than you think you will need and it will last you a lot longer.

I finally made the commitment and purchased a Surface Pro. The flexibility to use as a laptop and a tablet is great. Lightweight, even with the detachable keyboard make this the a well balanced addition to my electronics toys.

Purchased after returning an ipad. This serves my purposes better in that its easy to type with, since I do some writing. Only thing that drives me crazy is it is super sensitive and will jump to tasks not wanted. Changed some settings which helped. Light weight and easy to cart around. Keyboard large enough.

As a real estate agent, my wife is often on the go, but still would benefit from technological assets typically associated with a home-based computer. The Surface Pro meets her needs while still allowing her to go from place to place.

Recently purchased for my son as he is starting his freshman year at college. He loves the SurfacePro! A lot of power packed in a little package. Great visuals and lots of battery life. Says he doesn't miss his old Mac.

Best value for a tablet/laptop. Windows 10 is the best OS ever.
