I recently sold my Surface Pro 3 and decided to upgrade to the new model because I was attracted to the fanless design. I have had it for a couple of days now and have it hooked up to a 4k monitor and have to say that the experience has been excellent so far! Opening applications is quick and efficient and the fanless design definitely makes the unit a much quieter one - I still haven't heard much noise from the Pro and it definitely heats up less than the 3. One criticism I have though, unrelated to the device itself, is the Surface Plus program. I originally ordered this device via the Surface Plus program but it took way too long to ship and Microsoft were unable to give an ETA. That was weird considering they have the device in stock. To add insult to injury they said I won't be able to cancel my order; I will have to return it once it ships. I ended up buying it from Best Buy and will return the other order (if it ever ships). I would therefore not recommend buying the device via the Surface Plus program, especially if you are on a deadline.

I up graded from the surface pro 4 to the new 2017 surface pro. It's the i5, 8 gig of ram model and so far it's been great. The best part is the battery life is much better. It last all day with a normal work load. I do not see a big increase in power from the surface pro 4 but love the new keyboard and pen. It does what it promises to do.

Had a very nice experience with purchase of surface pro. Sales person was knowledgeable and quite helpful without being pushy. Product has been trouble free and is very easy to setup. Went on my networks seamlessly.

Finally made the purchase and I can not be happier. My only complaint and it's because I am used to the standard laptop, but the windows and font sizes are a bit smaller than I am used to, but that is a adjustment. Overall I have no complaints and there have not been any issues so far. I have been working on just the battery alone and it lasts for the whole day. I am pleased with this over the Samsung I owned. Light weight and I liked the SD slot, doesn't make me fully miss the old laptop styles.

The Surface Pro is fast and has everything I need to be productive all day. Really great machine. I have been in the IT field for over 25 years and this product is worth it if you want quality and performance.

I bought this computer as I have an MSI Gaming laptop that is too big to bring around and needed something that could be more portable. The surface I love because I can use it as a tablet or full computer.

This is an excellent computer for quality work and research. Light, well designed, yet powerful.

Easy to carry. Easy to use. Great flexibility between programs and sodtware. Love the personalization settings from the colour to the blue display. Great use for home, work, and school.

It has done everything I expected based on my research before buying. It loads immediately which is a major plus (similar to a phone or tablet unlocking). It handles everything I have tried to use it for. Multiple browser windows open at same time (10-15). Plus a few word docs and an Excel spreadsheet or 2 and Outlook (typical daily usage) and more all at once. Definitely would buy again. Wish it ad been cheaper of course.

I also have a desktop PC running Windows 7 Pro. My PC guy suggested I update to Windows 10. Before I do, I want to get very familiar with Windows 10. I also wanted a lightweight laptop/tablet that's easily portable. The Surface certainly fit the bill!! And the salesman at Best Buy was the greatest!

After using my Surface Pro for a month, I do know know how I lived without it. I am slowly transitioning everything to it. This is powerful enough to make my desktop almost obsolete.

The unit is taking the place of both a HP ultrabook and an IPad. The ultrabook is still a good laptop and performs well, however this Surface Pro has exceeded all of my expectations. It has been a great purchase and I love working on it on a daily basis. I bought a keyboard for it as well, which has made it a true pleasure to use. It easily runs circles around both my ultrabook (which I love) and the IPad. The Surface Pro is built very well, from both the perspective of actual construction and initial durability, as well as design. The speakers being front facing work very well, better than any laptop or tablet I have listened to.

Light, fast, and versatile. Holds it's charge really well. Worth every penny. Would recommend.

I can't complain at all. I wish the screen were a little larger but I understand the design. It's super portable, even with the case I put on it. It runs well and doesn't slow down when I edit photos. Have had to replace keyboard because i spilled coffee on it. Thought the keyboards would be more durable but hey, the type cover isn't up for review here. So...

I was in need of a new computer, haven't bought one since I got the Sony Vaio in 09, still working pretty good but since they no longer make them I decided to go with Microsoft, I like the portability and the performance of the surface pro, would prefer if the keyboard and the pen came all together instead of separate, but that's about the only bad thing Ive seen so far, it's a great choice

Coming from the Surface Pro 4, I absolutely love the new Surface Pro. The fanless i5 model feels better in the hand and not having the fan go off makes a huge difference. For those wondering about heat issues, I haven't had any problems whatsoever even with chrome, multiple MS Office programs open, drawboard & spotify open. Furthermore, I use this all day and the battery would last well beyond the end of the day (little media consumption, mostly for studies and writing). While the other changes are minute, I still absolutely love this laptop (to me this isn't a tablet). I currently use this in medical school and I can't imagine using anything else- it's portable when it needs to be and extremely versatile (pen input is fantastic). For those thinking about picking up the new keyboards, consider just using the Surface Pro 4 keyboards (I personally have the one with fingerprint reader), it might be cheaper. I highly recommend this laptop.

I kept trying to find a computer that would work for my job and this one has exceeded my expectations. Its light, fast and easy to use. Glad i purchased it over a mac!
