    Broke my windshield trying to install.

    Geek broke my windshield trying to install the mirror. They had no idea how to remove the original mirror. They tried to pry it off with a screwdriver after a hour and forty minute wait. Installed it myself after new windshield installed. Hour and twenty minutes, not that hard!

    When I showed up for my appointment, the technician after taking a look at my 2019 car, stated that he didn’t know how to remove the existing mirror from my car and that if he could somehow remove the mirror, he didn’t know how to install the new one. He was so puzzled. I don’t know why in the first place then they sold me this service if they don’t even have a qualified and knowledgeable auto-tech. Very disappointed.

    I don't regret putting it in and I feel safer now with the camera than without but the picture quality is not as good as I hoped - it's basically black and white.

    Questionable experience

    So I set up an appoint for install at 10 AM. Associate came in a few minutes late. No big deal. Asked about pricing $74.99 for camera install and he said it would be more like 87 dollars. Asked why. He then broke it down as 75 for install 5 for materials and rest is for tax and stuff. Was not happy about that last 7 bucks. Anyways ready to get this thing started.Walked around store and went to two other stores while work was completed. Came back and I saw he was done. I asked if everything turned out ok. He said yes, no problems very easy. I said ok, great. I checked out everything and it looked operational, everything seemed to work. First timer of this type of product/install. He said it would be an extra 8 bucks or so because my RCA Cable I provided was 2 feet short so he had to use his. I did not care for that because I was not phoned or told in advance about additional costs. A simple call with my ok would have been nice.He cut me break, seemed to be a nice enough guy. *After I left I noticed a scratch in my stereo, now I could not prove he did it but I noticed it right after I left and have never noticed in the past 2 weeks ever!(Brand New in dash dvd player). I was driving and noticed it on the top part of the source button. Aside from that camera was pointed incorrectly. He did tell me that I could point it downward instead of straight with a screw driver and 2 adjustment screws if I wanted to. I just noticed that every car has the camera pointed a lot further down rather than straight now after some research courtesy of Google Images.. Would have been nice if it was done for me properly. Now i have to fish for a micro Screwdriver. So im not happy about that none the less, He did an otherwise good job of install and was friendly towards the end. Just a few things seemed ify with the new scratch and camera pointed incorrectly with the lines not matching up to the road. I would've recommended this if weren't for the damage on the stereo despite the camera angle.

    They are very helpful to me. I don't know much about computers. I can just chat with them they have fixed every problem I've had. I didn't have to bring laptop in. I really like that! And you get a tune up on laptop. They have even showed me things I didn't even know I had on this laptop. I'm very happy with them. : D

    i got rear view mirror with wireless backup camera from amazon and i purchased this plan to install it. I went to BestBuy Store in MadiSon Heights MI. Eric is the person who performed the installation, he did really nice job and now i am using my wireless backup camera without any issues, he explained what he is going to do, looks like a knowledgeable person. Car is neat and clean after installation and he concealed all the wires. I definitely recommend this product if you have good bestbuy auto agent in your nearby store.

    We purchased a tv with the Geek Squad installation on a Saturday. We were told by our salesman that they would be at our home that Tuesday or Wednesday to install it. Not only did they NOT schedule to come out that Tuesday or Wednesday, but we were informed that it would be two weeks before they could get there. We knew this wouldn't work with our schedule, so we returned to the store to return the tv and take our business elsewhere. The manager told us how sorry he was and promised to get an outside source to come install it sooner. We decided to give Best Buy a second chance and waited for another call. We scheduled the installation for the 8-12 time slot and were called at a little after 8 only to be told we were down for the 12-4 time frame, which did not work for us. We were also told that they had us down for the previous day, too, however we were never informed about that AND the prior day would have worked for us. We are now headed to Best Buy to definitely cancel our order and TV purchase. Think long and hard before trusting these folks to do what they say.
