Bad PSU power to GPU

PSU had an issue with sending a signal from the GPU to the Monitor via HDMI, the monitor would not detect the signal until the computer was rebooted. New PC build, spoke with MSI technical support and they stated that the PSU may be cold, I swapped this out for a Corsair and the problem is gone.

Works Great. The motherboard cord was backwards somehow and made it a pain to plug in at the psu slot. Otherwise the 12 pin pcie cord was perfect for the 4000 series GPU .

DOA and defective

My son asked for pc parts for Christmas and his birthday knowing it is expensive to build what he was wanting. After his birthday he finally had all the parts. He built his dream computer and goes to turn it on. No power. So he goess to exchange his dead power supply after determining it was indeed this part. Best buy, who sold him a DOA power supply won't exchange it and told him to go through manufacturer. The return policy is ridiculously short, especially when selling defective products. Youre better off ordering from Newegg.

Seems to be a common issue with these MSI PSUs. I expected more from MSI since I purchased A LOT of their products before but this will make me think twice before buying from that brand and especially for PSUs. How the **** did it pass quality check? and you put that sticker on it that says so. Replacing a PSU and all these connectors is time and energy consuming. Horrible experience. And if you’re a going to reply with how sorry you are and giving me contact info to reach out to, for what? You’re gonna tell me sorry and give a pat on the back? Go fly a kite and check your vendors and quality assurance department.

This power supply was purchased brand new. In shrink wrap and box was thrashed. Internals looked find but I’m shocked how this could have been a return or just that smashed. I took pictures before opening it so hopefully something can be done about it. Possibly a discount.

16-pin connector causes constant crashes with 4090

With a 4090, I get constant crashes if I use the supplied 16-pin cable. After much trial and error, I finally found out that using the nvidia adapter (connected to 4pcie connectors) fixed the constant GPU crashes. But that defeated the entire reason that I bought a ATX 3.0 power supply to begin with.

Terrible longevity

Used this in a 7950x 4090 build, and it lasted a week before failing (I bought it in January, but started using it this week because I was able to finally find a 4090 at MRSP). My computer randomly shut off during use and when trying to boot it again it repeatedly restarted and shutdown, I cleared cmos, reseated ram, and made sure other issues weren’t at fault but the computer still won’t boot and the PSU is the only probable cause. Don’t waste your time with this power supply.

Works great! At this price, it has no analogues on the market: 1000 W power, a very beautiful case, a 10-year warranty, ATX 3.0 support, and a +12VHPWR connector, making it easy to connect the latest video cards. The power supply is very quiet, and the cables are of excellent quality. Highly recommend!

Had a pin rip completely out on its own from the 24 pin cable. I shoved it back in lol but way too scared to turn anything on with it. Will just return and go back to corsair. Much better quality
