This was a really awesome purchase. The size is perfect to set on a end table in the living room. And it was so east to set up, to pair my smart plugs, Samsung tv's as well. It's never been easier to set my alarm clock, to check weather, news healines sport scores of my favorite teams. This was a great addition to my smart home.

One word review....Outstanding! Extremely easy to setup, remarkably good sound output, easily control song selections and volume control, surprisingly good voice recognition, on screen display of spoken words when asking for info, really good screen resolution, no unwanted ads on screen, and overall a good technical electronic for the very low price.

I recently gifted the Google Nest Hub to my uncle, and he absolutely loved it! I got to see it in action at his place, and I must say—it’s a fantastic device. The display is crisp and responsive, and the voice commands work smoothly with Google Assistant. He’s been using it for everything—from checking the weather and watching YouTube to managing his smart home devices and setting reminders. The photo frame feature is a beautiful touch, turning it into a lovely digital album when not in use. Overall, it’s a great product that brings both convenience and a touch of modern tech to any home. Highly recommend!

A convenient and stylish device for a smart home. Great for controlling gadgets, showing weather, recipes, and calendar. The Assistant is fast, and the screen is bright and responsive. Fits perfectly into any interior.

I love this thing especially at night time because i watch tv on it and not have to be constantly on my phone. i love the clock at night, it dims the screen perfectly so the just being on the clock doesn’t brighten the room at all. the sound quality is really good especially when paired with another nest mini, also the microphone is much more sensitive at least for me than any of my other nest minis as well as the voice sensing. another thing is even though you can cast to it like a regular chrome cast it also has a few built though limited stream apps like youtube and netflix. the built in sleep tracking is really nice, i thought i wouldn’t use it since i have a watch that can sleep track, i tend to just use the nest hub since i don’t need to sleep with my watch on

Absolutely love this little device in automating my bedroom! I have 3 Feit lights, a Govee RGBIC light strip, and 3 Tapo-link smart plug outlets, and they all communicate effortlessly in their little subgroups (which you can make in the google home app). While I use my smartwatch for the most of my sleep tracking, Google adds room temp, sounds/noises, and general restlessness, which are great additions to understanding sleep patterns and causes for grogginess in the morning. In addition the sleep cycle tracking and breathing rate per minute readings are accurate and line up with my smartwatch readings as well. Just buy it, you wont regret it if you love connected tech! (or just use it for Spotify, it still pays for itself)

    Helped with Sleeping Habits

I originally had the 1st generation in my room. It is so helpful being able to control things around my home, listen to music, and set music alarms. I upgraded to the new version for the sleep tracking option. It does a great job tracking my sleep and pinpointing problems. It has help me make adjustments to my sleeping habits. The best part is the bass on this is so much better than the last one for listening to music. The first generation wasn't so great and I opted to an external speaker, but now it is decent enough for general listening.

    Exploring the world of Smart

I am still getting used to having it around, but I love it. I ask it for recipes, play music, solve disputes, and a whole lot more. The only problem is that I have 3 of these devices and sometimes I'll ask the one in the living room something and the kitchen will answer and even the upstairs one will answer. There are so many things I have yet to explore that it is capable of doing. I have barely scratched the surface.

I have several of these which I have purchased on sale. Everytime they're on sale, they are amazingly affordable. Quality wise, it's fairly decent considering it's a Google product. The device OS/software doesn't feel as smart as one would hope. There are many times it doesn't understand me or that it interprets the incorrect word. The app feels outdated and not organized. I have added and removed smart items and for some reason they still remain on the app. If they happen to (actually) remove from the APP, it still appears to live somewhere since using voice control does not reflect the change, for example, I once controlled my dining lights with two smart plugs, then I switched to smart bulbs and removed the plugs, but when I ask to turn off all lights in that room, it tells me "turning off 4 lights" even though I only have two smart devices in that room. I also often have to repeat a request. I have begun switching to Alexa products, because my Google products stopped connecting to my Wyze products. I'm not sure if this is a Wyze issue (which I wouldn't doubt) or a Google one. I just assumed that there was a reason the Google products were so affordable. We all know the saying "you get what you pay for." All that to say, I still recommend as an affordable smart home hub/system. When it works, it works well, but when it doesn't work, it can be very frustrating. I'lll leave you with two more points, it is smart to recognize who is speaking to it (if you have a household) which is convenient when asking to play music (it knows what account to select). If using to view cameras, it takes a while to load and has sort of a buffer/lag.

Love the hub! Great assistant that you can place in several rooms in your home. Because it doesn't have a camera, you can feel a bit safer with it in the bedrooms. We have several in our home and the tie in nicely with other tech controlled devices. A must have.

    Is Mr. Google for You?

We are totally boring people and feel no anxiety about AI listening to our hum-drum, boring non-criminal life. The video part of this device has eluded me. I just don't use it. Google isn't supporting it with any usable news content. So, I see no pretty pictures. But, I do use it when I take a nap. I sleep better listening to pink sounds. My fav is Thunderstorm tracks. Go figure. If you teach YOURSELF the right syntax to speak unto your Nest Hub, you can ask it very specific questions about weather, spelling, miscellaneous look-ups, cooking timers, etc. It's just a matter of saying it so the AI 'gets' the question. Oh, and P.S. I get to listen to The Economist in London, free podcasts as part of my morning ritual. That's a hint. If you are 'off' fake and false news dished up to you in AMERICA, try The Economist...almost impartial, still perfectly edited, the only news worth your time. And you can get BBC free too, if you prefer your news WOKE and curated for the African Continent wherever that may be.

The good: Screen is good. Sound is great for its size. You can't expect much due to its size. I LOVE the hardware button to turn off the MIC, for obvious privacy reasons. Its price is also good for all the features. The bad: I really dislike that you can't type to search, so you're at the mercy of google understanding what you want, which sometimes can get frustrating. There's a LOT of extra stuff on the screen that I wish I could just remove. I use it mostly for just music, and I wish there was a "radio" mode so that the videos aren't playing.

I really like my Nest hub. I had to get two one for the kitchen and one for my room. I like how its a digital photo frame when not in use and can display recipes, watch shows, play music and for a pretty cheap price. I'm honestly gad it didnt have a camera since it gives me more privacy and I can always turn off the microphone if I dont want google to listen to me.

I initially bought this for cooking but when I saw it had some sleep tracking features I decided to try it out in the bedroom. It stayed there since the sleep tracking is more accurate then that of my Garmin fitness tracker. The microphone is very sensitive and the sound is decent. Overall it will do what you expect.

This replaced a Lenovo Google smart display. I prefer this one since it is smaller and has the sleep tracking, which is pretty accurate compared to my Samsung watch and Note 20 Ultra. I haven't used the hand gestures, so I can't speak to that. Otherwise it works exactly like the Lenovo display.
