We were having a hard time with Internet and WiFi connectivity, so decided to upgrade all of our network hardware. This modem is certified for a number of Internet providers - including ours (Spectrum). Provisioning the modem with the service provider was seamless, and combined with our new router has blown away our speed and reliability. I wish we had done it sooner.

This modem works great along with our Netgear router. It was easy to set up along with the assistance from Xfinity. It was very inexpensive and it saves me $15 a month in rental fees from Comcast, it will have paid for itself in no time. If all you need is an internet modem, definitely look into this one, it might be all tthat yyou need !!

I bought this modem by mistake, I moved into a new apartment and needed to install wifi. Make sure you look at the description before buying, I thought this had a built in router (the router distributes the internet throughout your home). I was going to buy the router separately, but it was a better offer to buy a dual branded modem/router. I saved myself some money! Aside from this, this brand is very reliable and economic!

No frills modem. Does exactly what we need it to do. Works well with mesh system. Plug and play.

Optimum started charging for the modem after not charging for years 4.95 a month. I really wish people would realize that they can save money by getting there on equipment. Set up was easy called there support line and was up and running 20 minutes or less. I did my research to find the modem that would work with optimum and this is the one!

I had cable modem with a wireless wifi router, sadly it started to drop connections and I had every intention to purchase the updated model. I talked to the sales rep, Hannah, and she showed me this modem. The speed of this modem is 3 times faster and so easy to connect. Just plug in the coax, power cord, and the ethernet cable. I did have to activate on the xfinity web page, but it's all too easy. I'm glad I bought this modem and no regrets.

This modem was easy to set up, only needed Time Warner Cable to activate it once connected. The speeds were extremely fast when connected directly to my laptop, and just where I would expect them to be when connected via my Wi-Fi router, about half. The speeds are typically better than the modem I was renting from TWC but they vary widely throughout the day (a modem won't cure the source). TWC speeds can range from 60 Mbps to 325 Mbps.

Easy setup and compatible with my very limited internet service. Small town internet company doesn't support all technology, so it was wonderful to have such an easy time getting this hooked up.

It works great, provides speed of upto 200mbps. I have been using it for 2 years and it doesn't have any issues so far. Thank you.

Excellent. Bought this for my mother in law for her Comcast internet. Hooked up a wireless router and it has been issue free from the start....no calls from the Mother-in-law!! YES!! I definitely recommend. She has a 200mbps system and it is usually showing speeds a little over 200 on my computer.

Bought this cable modem to replace the modem I've been renting from my cable company. Set up was incredibly easy - it took longer to get Customer Service from the cable company to answer my call to activate the modem than it did to unpack, install the cables and reboot the computer! Speed and reliability is great - I've had it working for over a month and never had to reboot the modem even once. Priced right at B.B.

I jumped a tier in internet speed with my ISP and needed a higher capacity modem. Also I wanted the 16 / 4 channel capability which is also provided by my ISP. The CM500 easily provides what I need without being overpriced overkill. Set up was virtually dummy proof and the whole process took perhaps ten minutes tops. It runs only slightly warm, and has now been operating for a month without any issue.

I upgraded my cable speed to a higher level and noted that I was not getting the peak performance from my current cable modem. Looking at the various models and how they are rated for performance, this model for the price seemed to be the best deal. After a simple installation, checking the speed in comparison to the old modem, I am now getting the performance from my cable connection that I was expecting.

This Netgear modem is compatible and works great with Xfinity and saves money on rental fees. Easy to setup and I highly recommend this.

I have had this for almost 4 years. No problems with the modem. I got it when signed up for X-finity cable internet and TV. Buying your own modem saves you from having to pay monthly rental fee to X-finity. I have this paired with a wireless router. Cable service and WiFI internet work well all over the house.
