Easy to hook up and no issues with it. I got it to use with Cox cable.

I have had this for almost 4 years. No problems with the modem. I got it when signed up for X-finity cable internet and TV. Buying your own modem saves you from having to pay monthly rental fee to X-finity. I have this paired with a wireless router. Cable service and WiFI internet work well all over the house.

Our xfinity modem stopped working suddenly, so I had not choice but to upgrade. It was great decision. I also got to use Best Buy price match due to the price I was getting on Amazon. It is very well priced product will easily cover speeds I need for next few years. The store representative was also very helpful and I enjoyed my shopping experience.

I purchased this to replace a terrible Arris modem which I had purchased a few months back and ruined my broadband speed from the expected 30mbs to about 2mbs. Installing this Netgear modem took about 5 minutes and immediately my internet connection was at full speed. Great product that works great with Xfinity.

Small compact; easy to set up, plus a good price too

I bought this modem as a replacement for my Arris 6141 modem as the Arris was having errors and signal issues. Long story short, the new modems had errors too and it ended up being an issue with my outside cable line. I have decided to keep this modem, even though there is nothing wrong with the Arris modem. The reason is that this modem has more channels, sixteen to be precise, the Arris 6141 only has eight. Modems, just like wireless routers, have channels. The more channels the faster the speed for modems. So with the Arris I got a speed of 19.78mb/3mb on the comcast business 16/3mb plan. With the Netgear CM500 I am now getting 30/6mb. This modem supports download speeds of up to 600mbs. If you need gigabit speeds then purchase a modem with Docsys 3.1 (The cm500 is docsys 3.0)

This Netgear modem is compatible and works great with Xfinity and saves money on rental fees. Easy to setup and I highly recommend this.

Very easy to setup. One call to TWC is needed for them to register but after that it's been running perfect.

This modem is incredibly simple to set up and blazingly fast! I set it up in two easy steps with Xfinity using the built in web interface. The only issue I had was with Xfinity retaining the "setup page" as my bookmarked homepage on Safari on my Mac. I was able to remove this by deleting cookies and clearing the Safari cache and deleting and redoing my homepage bookmark.

So this modem has no thrills and no real options. But that is fine you plug it in connect it to the router and it works right out of the box. No issues simple setup and keeps reliable speeds for over a year without having to be rebooted. Currently being uses with a 200/5 Comcast connection. *Now only if it could resolve Comcast biweekly 5+ hour outages

So far, so good. Bought this myself to replace the cable company's used free loaner modem that failed after less than 2 months (another brand). Only complaint is the indicator lighs are so small you have to view it at eye level to see if they are lit. Easy to install.

Bought it so I would not have to pay monthly rental of xifinity modem, saving over $148 a year by buying the modem. Out of the box and plugged it in and it worked! No issues with speed and channels works fine for a single family house. You will need to add hub or router if you want more than 1 connection.

Had net dropouts with existing modem because it was not compatible with new docsis III requirements. Was renting the old modem from the cable company. This new one will pay itself off in 6 months. Install was easy, hooked it up and called teck support and they had it online in 15 minutes. Speed went from 20 MIPS to 45 with no errors or dropouts.

I bought this inexpensive modem on the advice of my tech-savvy son who said to get a quality router but a modem is just a modem. He was right. I've used this modem for a month now with zero problems. I replaced my comcast router-modem with this and my own modem (Linksys - AC1900 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 Router). Setup was easy. I had one glitch getting rid of my comcast modem-router but it was a comcast problem I solved by calling comcast help. I no longer have cable TV, Instead I'm streaming Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Starz. Saved a ton of money and don't miss cable a bit. Streaming is the way to go and I'm glad I got this router. I recommend it.

The best and most inexpensive option to replace the rip off rental modem from comcast! Youll need a separate wifi router or gateway. Easy configuration and registration witb Comcast!
