Bought this to replace Surfboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My Arris Surfboard cable modem (only a few years old) started throwing HUNDREDS of T3 errors. Cable company worked on outside connection, but no difference. Figured it was the modem so I bought this one from Netgear. It's been rock steady for a few weeks now--no downtime and no more T3 errors. Disappointed that the Arris modem didn't last all that long (it was highly recommended so maybe I just got a lemon), so I decided to try the Netgear brand. Too early to tell if it will last longer than the surfboard modem but so far very pleased.

Great modem for streaming movies
