I bought the NetGear 5 plug switch box when I bought the Google Nest. I have several devices plugged in to my modem and needed another plug for the Nest. It works great. I was able to unplug almost everything from the modem and plug them into the switch box. Now I have more room if I need it. I started to buy one of the larger ones but I was not sure how well this one was going to work. Now I wish I would have bought one of the larger ones.

We have ordered a number of these switches to extend the network in our office. We only have a couple wall ports to each office, but some of our employees need to connect multiple devices. This switch is an easy solution to that problem.

I needed a simple unmanaged switch and this Netgear product has worked great for me. I just plugged it in, made the ethernet connections and its worked without any problems.

Purchased this 5-port switch for a client, to replace one that had seen too many lightning strikes. Have always had good experience with Netgear equipment. I like that it's more metal/less plastic, and the lifetime warranty. Very robust and well-supported equipment

Bought to extend the number of Lan ports from my AT&T gateway. I am not a network savvy person but was able to hook up and use my laptop via the switch. Switch worked fine right out of the box.

Easy to install, plug in the power and then plug in the ethernet cables - no switch management required. Twinkle lights indicate connection speed and data transfer activity. Excellent inexpensive switch you can quickly add if you need some extra ethernet ports in an area. Can connect 10/100/1000 MBPS inputs at same time without slowing down faster connections.

Easy to set up and the product line has been reliable. This is the second Netgear Proline switch that I’ve purchased as an add on to an existing one. The older one still works after many years and I expect this 5 port switch to be the same.
