Just plug and play and you’ll have access to more Ethernet ports. Used to run Ethernet cables to each room in my house. Only negative is the netgear software

My son has his xbox one and ps5 hooked through directly to modem. It speeds up both system and works well! Very happy!!! Best buy staff helped in determining best device for spliter set up...they were great- very impressed!

Fast Gigabit Speed Switch

FOR OUR OFFICE, HAVING MULTIPLE PRINTERS AND COMPUTERS, WE NEEDED TO HAVE AN ADDITIONAL OPTION TO DIRECTLY WIRE TO THE ROUTER WITHOUT HAVING A MILLION CORD PORTS COMING OUT OF THE WALLS IN THE OFFICE.
