Some issues but otherwise works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.his is a FAST switch. It allows me to transfer data between my 3 computers so quickly that hard drive transfer rate becomes the limiting factor (although I guess that should be a given since it IS gigabit and only one of my computers is running a RAID0). My only qualm is that it does not always properly detect 1Gb vs 100Mb connections, and after running for a couple of months refused to allow a 1Gb connection at all on 3 of the 5 ports. Thankfully I was able to fix this by cycling the power (unplugging it then plugging it back in) but this really shouldn't be necessary. It was cheap and therefore certainly worth the money I spent on it despite its minor irregularities.

Super Highway
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These extra ports really allows me to tackle the goal of separating my wifi, guest wifi, lan connections. I can mix and match all day plus when my son's friends come over for a weekend of gaming: 2 PS4's, 1 PS3, Desktop, streaming on their phones and TV streaming. My security cameras, far away wireless devices, are undisturbed.

Good for home automation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am kind of a home automation junkie so I have multiple hubs for the different connected things throughout my house. My router does not have many Ethernet ports so I needed to buy a switch to expand the number of ports. I've had this for over a month now and everything is still working fine. I looked around for cheaper options but this one was the cheapest I could find.

Easy Peasy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just plug and play. Plugged in all cables and 3 of us have been gaming just fine through it. Only issue is that its so light weight, the weight of the cables move it around when trying to set it on a shelf.
