Easy way to plug computer type devises together.

Handy when you don't have enough plugs with your modem/ router. Put patch cable into one of the ports to attach to router. Handy also in multimedia wiring panels. Can also be used off line to network together devises. It does require power, using supplied power adapter.

Does what I need it to do

I have multiple devices that need to be connected to wifi via ethernet and needed the means to add more ethernet ports. This was the solution. The only "down" side is I had to pay for it, but that's between me and Xfinity.
