I recently changed my xfinity modem. The new modem only has 3 ports unlike the older modem. I then had to purchase this 5-port hub to plug in more computers. The installation was seamless. I also changed to CAT 6 cables. My system is running much faster than prior to the changes.

Simple and inexpensive desktop switch: cable ports are at the back, LEDs at the front. Unlike business switches, there is no way to tell if your connection is gigabit but does it really matter? The switch casing is made of plastic but doesn't cry cheap and actually looks pretty good. I'm satisfied with this purchase but I am rating this switch 4-star only because it is good - very good indeed - but maybe not totally outstanding.

I was looking for a Gigabit switch with a few ports for a low price, and this accomplished all that was needed. The plastic is a little cheap-feeling, but that really didn't bother me.

These switches are economical and work great for small office applications. I use these switches to drive my office component once the Ethernet is brought into the room. I have one driving my office computer, printer, scanner and auxiliary devices. I have a second switch to connect my television components.

Plugged in my ethernet cables and it worked immediately, no setup required. Much smaller footprint than the clunky old wireless router I had been using for additional ports since I switched to Google's wifi system.

Purchased this product for small office unit that needed to connect multiple devices and the router didn't have enough ports and was wireless. But nobody likes wireless and the signal problems always exist. So we ran ethernet cables to this switch and it was all plug and play.

Not much to say other than it works perfectly and I haven't had any problems. I took it out of the box, plugged in my ethernet cables and everything worked. I was a bit skeptical because it was cheaper than a model somebody suggested, but I'm glad I got this one. I'm using it to network two computers in my music studio.

This is only one of a few “sub” switches being fed by a Cisco 24 port main switch. This Netgear switch has been preforming well, with no problems. Only 1 negative: A very lightweight plastic unit, too easily pulled off a shelf by the Ethernet cables!
