I use this switch for internet connection for my two work laptops and work phone. I have 400Mbps internet and do not notice any slowdown. Only 4 stars as I have only had for about a month and while performance is good, no idea on durability. The switch is light than I expected it to be. Lastly, good for the price if you don’t need any of the bells and whistles that other switches can provide

I've been using strictly Netgear products for my home network for some time now. When I maxed out the ports on my Nighthawk AC3200, it was time for a switch. This one is simple and straightforward. Very happy with the performance so far.

The Ethernet switch works exactly as it should and flawlessly. Everything works just as fast as it would if hooked up to the main router in my apartment. If you have a bunch of equipment that needs a hard wire definitely choose this Ethernet switch for organizational and performance reasons.

I bought two of these, and I'm not the most computer savvy person out there. These were extremely easy to install. They literally are plug and play out of the box, with zero configuration required. If you need a simple switch that is low cost, this is a great choice!

I bought this switch because I only had one ethernet cable going to my AV system and wanted multiple to have multiple outputs to connect to my media player, gaming system and smart TV. It worked well for this application.

works like a charm. I set it up once and haven't had the need to touch it again. Looks slick enough that it doesn't need to be hidden. Would recommend

I wanted to reduce the number of devices I had running on wifi, when they could easily be plugged in directly. My router only has 4 ports availible, and this device was able to nearly double that amount! The device is small, so it is easy to put on a shelf or tuck away somewhere.

I purchased this item because the apple router I currently have had lim meted Ethernet outlets. Wifi is good, but wired is always better. I was able to link multiple devices to the network with cables rather than using wireless improving my xbox, Apple TV, computer, and overall performance.

This switch is gigabit speed and does what you need it to. Not manageable, but all we wanted to do was set it and forget it, been running a couple months now with no problem. If I find I need another desktop switch, I will grab another one of these!

Extended a friend's network with this unit. Essentially just "plug and play". Experienced no problems. No configuration necessary. All the computers that were plugged into this unit came up to 1gbs speed (all had 1gbs adapters). Be sure to use at least Cat5e cables or better.

This Netgear 5-port switch was a quick and painless way to reconfigure my home office. Installing it in the home office enabled me to consolidate multiple devices from other ports around the house into a new, more efficient office operation. The switch worked flawlessly from the moment I connected it.

If you're the sort of person who likes the idea that your computers and other devices are not transmitting their information throughout the air, switches are a necessity. We needed to expand our network, and this did the job. Plug the wires in... done.

I have been having wifi issues for the past 2-3 months. Home is about 3800 sq ft. About 30-40 devices using internet. No more lagging or slowdown throughout my home. Had a hiccup during setup called customer service and they were great! I'm getting anywhere from 150-300 wireless!

Needed to replace an older 10/100 with a Gigabit hub. This one fit the bill - especially for the price. Nice style and easy install. Does what it is supposed to do. I don't like the LED setup. Unlike the more expensive models, you only get a single LED. No way to be sure you are getting Gigabit connections since you have only one Led. At least from what I can tell! Overall, a good budget-friendly hub for those that are 100% sure of their setup.

It's works for what I needed it for. I only had a 4 port switch in my router. I decided to go into my local. Eat buy and saw this switch. Did a little Googling and and research and decide to get it. No problems whatsoever. If your looking for a switch this one works really well.

I just wired up my entire house and needed more ethernet ports. This worked perfectly. Even with another switch connectes to the router. The speeds are fine for a normal household. If you are looking for more then basic connections id get something else.
