This is a standard switch - simply plug in what you need and it works. I recommend checking that what you plan on plugging in will work off a switch before purchasing. Some of the new home automation lights, etc. don't work as well off of a switch.

My wireless router only has one Ethernet connection and I need to connect 3 devices. Easy to setup and use. Plug it into an outlet and connect switch to the router. Connect additional devices and you are done.

Netgear is truly the best you can buy when it comes to networking hardware. I have purchased multiple Netgear products and I am never disappointed in quality and ease of use. Highly recommended.

I purchased this product for a SOHO (small office, home office) and works like a charm, is one of the best routers out there, is plug and play, no need of setup or difficult configuration, this one was a really good purchase.

I needed just a few additional connections near my home entertainment system and this did the trick. Lighting fast, I'm really getting 330 mbs from my PS4 which I have not seen those speeds before the router.

Pretty easy setup. Just plug and play. This is actually my second switch so I'm familiar with how easy it is to set up. I've not noticed any degradation connected in a series, but I don't do large downloads or massive amounts of video play on my desktops.

Great price for a name brand switch that I needed to replace a cheap gigabit switch from an unknown manufacturer.

I needed this switch because my Linksys mesh router did not have any additional Ethernet ports. It was easy to set up and has worked flawlessly. I would recommend it if you are in need of an unmanaged switch.

This is the second switch that I have bought. It does a pretty good job and I have had no issues. The first one I got was about 2 years ago and has served me well. You could go cheaper and get a different brand but get it on sale and it is hard to beat.

This is the third one I have bought as I snake my network around, one feeding the other. They are attractive on a counter. 5 ports lets you use one for the connection and the other four out to devices.

This does everything I hoped it would. I needed extra ports, and now I have them. The flashy lights are an added bonus that make guests say things like "ooooohhhh", and "well lookey at them lights there Bubba "

For the best internet connection, I like everything hardwired directly to the modem. This switch accomplished everything without any loss of speed. I have my TV, xbox, and other multimedia streaming devices all hooked up and it's running at top speed!

Cost effective and efficient, this does it's job just as it's supposed to - it sits on my desk and routes network data from my single port on the wall to my Mac Pro, external file server, printer, and Avid transport controller. I needed one in a pinch, and Best Buy delivered.

My house is wired for internet. Each room has one jack but I need two - one for my AT&T U-verse box and another for my smart TV. This is a simple solution that works great. With a 1000 mbps line, wired is about 3x faster than wireless.

I bought this specifically so I could add my printer to our home network, allowing us to print from multiple computers and any of our wireless devices. Was able to take it out of the box, hook it up and have it working in a 10 minute time span. Have had no problems with it.

I have tried other products on the market but the one that I always go back to is netgear, their equipment is high quality and very fast and reliable for a reasonable price! This switch is actually able to convert different types of Ethernet connections!

I wanted more wired connections in my basement as wireless just doesn't work to well. I tried one of those connectors where 1 network cable goes in and 2 come out but they never work. I just plugged in the power cord, plugged in 2 network cables, and I was up and running. Nothing else to do.
