Needed to use this with my new Wi-Fi modem. The modem did not have enough ports so this hub has saved me. Easy to set up just plug in your cables and you are good to go.

This switch replaced another one that failed after a series of three or four electric power glitches over a period of a couple of days. One disadvantage of a "smart grid" is that momentary power outages are more frequent while longer duration ones are prevented. I needed a replacement switch on short notice for my home network. As it turned out, the manufacturer of the first switch replaced it under warranty. Since I currently have 6 Ethernet jacks in the house, I reinstalled the 8 port switch when it arrived. To prevent further problems due to power glitches, I've put the switch as well as my wireless router on a battery backup/UPS. Although it was only used for a couple of weeks, this Netgear 5 port switch worked fine.

This truly was the easiest installation of a network component that I have had so far. I just had to plug the cables in, plug the switch into the AC outlet and I was back in business.

I bought this switch to connect my cable box and multiple gaming systems, and streaming device to a single ethernet port. So far, I have been using my equipment and have not experienced any issues with lag or disconnections. I believe this is a solid buy if you need something simple to get the job done.

Switches for home networks should just disappear in the ether! That is what this switch does providing excellent speeds for my network based on true testing before and after implementation.

very easy to install and works well. I needed extra ethernet ports ( only two ) so I can plug in my tv and printer. My only disappointment is the power cord is way too short, forcing me to use longer ethernet cables.

I’ve bought two of this item. First one was a year ago making addition ports available for my entertainment system. Works well that I bought a second for computer hook ups.

I am very pleased with this unit. I have multiple computers and accessories on my network, needed more ports that I could rely on, this unit did the trick for me.

have it for 2 years and still going strong on me i am getting my fast Ethernet cable connection I am gaming on it and can plug into more than 2 device my laptop and desktop and its all good

I needed this in order to provide more ports for my LinkSys router. This worked the first time without any issues. Speed is great, and the small size works well with my desk layout.

The 5 port gigabit ethernet switch was easy to install and I was able to link 4 devices to our internet at one location in our home office. It works great and have not had any issues.
