This device has helped so much with being able to connect multiple devices to the internet. We could not function without it.

This 5 port gigabit mini switch is perfect for my new home office. one port is used for the uplink, one port is used for a multi-function printer, one port is used for an voip phone, one port is used for my computer. I still have one port available. WIFI is not the way to go if your home is wired. My home is wired.

Simple stuff, it does the job. Need more ports for connecting ethernet cables? Your modem doesn't have enough? Want to link it to your wifi? This will do the job and run speeds equal to modem connection speed.

The Netgear Switch was easy to install and was compatible with my configuration. Great piece of equipment.

It is hard to make much of a review for a simple piece of equipment whose only function is to get info where you want it and for you never to know it is there. I guess this product does that well. No problems at all.

Needed to use this with my new Wi-Fi modem. The modem did not have enough ports so this hub has saved me. Easy to set up just plug in your cables and you are good to go.

I bought this switch to connect my cable box and multiple gaming systems, and streaming device to a single ethernet port. So far, I have been using my equipment and have not experienced any issues with lag or disconnections. I believe this is a solid buy if you need something simple to get the job done.

very easy to install and works well. I needed extra ethernet ports ( only two ) so I can plug in my tv and printer. My only disappointment is the power cord is way too short, forcing me to use longer ethernet cables.

This truly was the easiest installation of a network component that I have had so far. I just had to plug the cables in, plug the switch into the AC outlet and I was back in business.

This switch replaced another one that failed after a series of three or four electric power glitches over a period of a couple of days. One disadvantage of a "smart grid" is that momentary power outages are more frequent while longer duration ones are prevented. I needed a replacement switch on short notice for my home network. As it turned out, the manufacturer of the first switch replaced it under warranty. Since I currently have 6 Ethernet jacks in the house, I reinstalled the 8 port switch when it arrived. To prevent further problems due to power glitches, I've put the switch as well as my wireless router on a battery backup/UPS. Although it was only used for a couple of weeks, this Netgear 5 port switch worked fine.

This is a very durable and easy-to-use switch. Plug it in and it just works. Was able to extend a small network very easily.

Switches for home networks should just disappear in the ether! That is what this switch does providing excellent speeds for my network based on true testing before and after implementation.

I've trusted Netgear products for yeats and have several switches & Access Points in my home environment currently. They just work & this switch is no exception.

I’ve bought two of this item. First one was a year ago making addition ports available for my entertainment system. Works well that I bought a second for computer hook ups.

This allow me to share the internet in my living room as the AT&T router is located in a far & hidden location without cover properly all my apartment. With the gigabit speed your digital TV receiver doesn't get frozen.

I am very pleased with this unit. I have multiple computers and accessories on my network, needed more ports that I could rely on, this unit did the trick for me.
