Everything worked as advertised and there was no setup other than connecting Ethernet to the port.

i needed this to connect 2 pc's and 2 cc machines on our sales floor. you just plug in and it works. it was so much cheaper than running more cables to each unit. good brand always

The NETGEAR - 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch gives your home the network capacity to handle greater bandwidth. The Wi-Fi would begin to slow when to many things were on, so when I added this for those things at home that can use a network cable, everything begins to run smoother and faster.

My router is at one end of my house and my Xbox and printer at the other. Ran cat 5 under my house and connected to the switch. Run great far better then wifi.

This switch was just what I needed to extended my wired network in my home office. It is gigabit speed and I have had absolutely no issues with it.
