It is well built and the cables connect in the back leaving the front clear with connection status LEDs. The unit is light weight so if not mounted to wall it will tend to easily move/slide around.

Eliminated Wi-Fi

So, I bought this ethernet switch and some ethernet cables. I have fewer momentary signal drop-outs since connecting the switch. Previously, most of the items in my entertainment center were operated via the wi-fi signal. There's not much to it. Just plug in the ethernet cables and the power adapter. The switch is hidden behind my TV. This ethernet switch appears to use less power than some of the others I considered.

Great Network Switch

Best Buy's price was significantly higher than a competitor's, but I was able to take advantage of their Price Match policy so I could buy it at my local Best Buy rather than waiting for the competitor to ship it.
