A great ethernet switch. Worked very well and was easy to set-up. Much faster than my old switch.

I love this switch! It does everything I need including Support for LAGs. It’s fast, well built, and easy to configure.

I use this switch in my office because my current 5 port switch was full and I needed room for expansion. This switch has a user interface which can be used to prioritize certain ports which works good for me. I don't need my laser printer having priority over my media computer or PC. The set up was simple and I haven't had to do anything to it since it just continues to work. I also like the look and I keep it on top of my desk now instead of my old switch which was hidden behind the desk.

Does everything it’s suppose to do but better. I had a problem with my cable box jittering quite frequently because I had the Ethernet cable split between the cable box and a dvr. I was using a cheaper Netgear gigabyte switch to do all the work. Needless to say it wasn’t enough and I stumbled across the nighthawk. Not only is the unit gorgeous to look at; it also runs everything incredibly smoothly. I haven’t had a single hitter or freeze ever since the change. Highly recommend!

Was having connectivity issues with 2 routers but this switch was the answer. Gaming is much better now

My previous switch (Linksys) failed, so it was time to buy a new one. First, the eight ethernet LAN ports rather than 4 or 5 with most other routers allowed me to connect more devices. Second, the speed of the switch was an improvement over my Linksys 5 port router. Personally, I appreciated the futuristic look and the ability to turn off the lights if necessary. The unit remains cool and so far has been exceedingly dependable.

I got this on sale which is why I justified getting this upgrade. I was having packet loss issues while using my Xbox One S /PS4 Pro (both wired connection) so I decided to change my router and use this switch to eliminate packet losses. I no longer have a packet loss issue but I wouldn't recommend this at the MSRP.

This works awesome. I’m in a new home and of course they run all ethernet cables to one place. In the darkness of your basement. I have the nighthawk xp500 router and the netgear 1gig modem. It’s in my room and it plugs into the wall and goes downstairs to the switch. It then goes to every room in the house. No errors, no glitches, it works great for how my setup is.

I love Netgear products because they are high quality and perform well. This switch proves that fact. It does not disappoint! High speed, perfect for gaming as it prioritizes my gaming console over other devices. Worked immediately with out need for configuration. Plug in your data cables and you’re off and running. Highly recommended.

Got to say setup was quick and pleasent. Was able to bond a few channels from my NAS to help increase the speed of that on the network which was very nice. Overall was good product so far. I like the blue LED's for the device and network connections that are shown. If you want to you can disable them via the software so it can run dark.

Works as advertised seems to not have any lag I am getting 200mb/s

First off, it's heavy, so dissipates heat nicely. But most important, this is a smart switch. You log on to its IP Address and from there you can prioritize which port you need the fastest bandwidth and which ports don't. Last, the S8000 looks nice too!

I paired this switch with my Nighthawk R700 router to hardwire my gaming devices in the front room to the router in my office. It works flawlessly and does exactly what I want it to do, which is connect multiple gaming systems with reduced latency to the internet to play online games. Plus, I have no worries about WiFi range.
