Struggled with various routers over the years. Namely, the Linksys WRT1900AC and the Linksys Velop Mesh System. Neither were strong enough to work well with all the signal interference in our apartment building.
The ORBI is the first unit to reliably offer wifi throughout our condo with good connect and fast speeds!

Set up for the RBK50 was quick and easy, took only a few minutes to set up the router. Took a bit longer to connect all of 20+ devices to the router. The system has been up and running without any glitches for a month now. My house has 5300sf and I now have strong connectivity in all areas including outside the home. I am also seeing much high internet speeds (138Mbps on the download and 19Mbps on the up load) than I had previously

My house is not anywhere near 5000 s.f. that this product is rated for, but I'm so happy I went a bit overboard. I absolutely love this product. It does an amazing job of getting me the Internet speed that I pay for. I speed test this almost everyday and am getting around 175mbps easily, and my Cox plan is only 150mbps. I upgraded to this from an older wireless N system. I have had zero dropouts and zero problems. I know it's a bit more expensive than other solutions, but it is so worth it!!

I have purchased the best routers, used extenders and even tried EERO. This is by far the best whole house WiFi I have ever had.

Orbi was extremely easy to set-up and it works flawlessly. The ancillary unit can be placed anywhere in the house where there's a plug. The base unit connects to an ethernet port in my Frontier router and I have a VIOP phone and my PC connected to the ethernet ports in the Orbi. Our previous internet strength was weak on the far side of the house and now it's just as strong as the area surrounding the base unit.

I grew tired of upgrading single routers, to have them work decently but eventually fail to provide good coverage in every corner of my house. I have a 2200 square foot home, and the Netgear Orbi doesn’t have a bad spot anywhere in the house. It is lightning fast all the time. There has been no lag. Even after hooking up many devices in my house, the WiFi remains very strong and consistently stable. This is what I’ve been waiting for. Highly recommended.

I was able to setup the router in about 45 minutes. It was were easy. I located the second unit next to an older PC and connected the PC to the router with an Ethernet cable and tripled my internet speed.

Tried using wi-fi extenders to better cover my house. With extenders, I was not happy. Had to reboot/reset extenders almost daily. Had better internet using my cell phone data plan. Decided to try Orbi. Since I set up my Orbi as my wi-fi router with my existing CenturyLink modem, my wi-fi coverage throughout my house and even outside has improved by 100%. I am now back to using wi-fi in my own home with about 12 devices online at the same time with outstanding speed throughout the house.

I was using a Netgear wireless router and extender for the last 2 years and constantly suffered the drops and disconnects of the extender. I looked at the different mesh options available and decided on the Orbi 53. The setup was easy and the 2 units synchronized quickly. I was up and running in about 15 minutes and then spent another 20 or so redoing the settings on our phones, tablets, computers, ring doorbell and blu-ray players. I have full strength WiFi throughout the house and my neighbor told me he could see my network from inside his house (luckily it is secured). Our only issue is that my wife's phone drops off the network every now and then but all other devices have not experienced drops.

Works Great in a Multilevel Home

My parents have had a router for many years, but they noticed that it has been dropping connections to newer devices (like iPads) that use the 802.11ac standard. I experienced the drops myself and it was clear the router was dying, even after reboots, firmware updates, etc. It was time to bury it.
After spending days and way too many hours reading tons of reviews, I kept coming across "mesh" networks as the new future of wireless home networking. Every single site I found, from widely known tech sites to uber-geeky tech sites put Netgear's Orbi at the top of their list. Plus it got huge praise for it's 3rd dedicated band that lets the units talk only to each other. While it definitely costs more than a standard router, it simply works great. With over 12+ wireless devices in their home (and more on the way), they have a strong single on all levels of the home. I even could pick up their network in the yard and at the end of their driveway.
The router and access point IS big, but they have a very understated design. My mom likes to keep a very uncluttered home, and the look of this didn't bother her at all. It's much preferred to the crazy looks of some newer routers.
If you're looking for something to blanket your home with a great signal for lots of newer devices, get this.
I also love that they keep pushing out new features and upgrades with their firmware updates. I am a bit worried about the level of support they offer after 90 days, so I put this on a credit card that gives an extra year of purchase protection (many cards do this now). So I feel safer. Plus I read positive reviews pretty much everywhere.
Tip: II DID have problems logging into this to set it up for the first time. It turned out it was Kaspersky blocking me from accessing the IP required. After 30 minutes of trouble shooting, once I turned off Kaspersky, the setup was a breeze.
Definitely recommend this wifi system!

Setup wasn't difficult and has options for somewhat more advanced users. This was the only choice for a mesh network with more than one physical Ethernet port ....even on the satalite. I set it up for my parents and can monitor the security from my house. It does take a bit of time to update and reboot but that's me looking for a complaint. To me, worth the money. It's blazingly fast...huge help for my parents streaming.

This nest type router works good.
I had for a year. While it has good connection, this router does drop connection a least a couple times a week.
The app is terrible. The unit does come with one satellite but if I had to do it over I would get the one with two satellite because in order to purchase another satellite expect to pay around $200.
Which is a rip-off.
I would recommend betting eero instead of this.
Not impressed for the price it sells for.
