Just moved, and after having Spectrum for one month, the modem stopped working and was replaced by a technician who told me those modems aren’t the best. After that, I started researching to buy my own modem. Found out some modems use this Intel Puma chip which are causing issues, so make sure your modem doesn’t have that chip. After looking into a new modem and mesh set up, I found this all in one system from Netgear Orbi. This set up allows you to have a modem/router combo (or gateway as some call it) with one of the devices while the other is the satellite (think WiFi range extender but better). It made sense to buy this versus buying a modem and Orbi’s separate. Speed tests have run great and no more complaints from my kids about lagging and teleporting in their games. It was very easy to set it up through the Orbi app and a few minutes on the phone with Spectrum. The instructions and information like the MAC ID, serial, etc, are all easily found, they’ve made this dummy proof. This set up is future proof. Most people, like 99% of us, cannot take full advantage of the speed capabilities with this set up, so there’s no need to worry about having to upgrade this set up for a while. If you’re wondering the difference between the AX4200 and more expensive AX6000 model, the AX6000 does not have a modem/router combo version like this, so you’d need to buy a different modem. Also, the AX6000 simply allows for faster speeds that no one even has. There’s no justification to buy the AX6000 model and you can see YouTube videos comparing the two which will explain this. Yes, it’s expensive. But this is a clear case of you get what you pay for. The Orbi app is awesome too. You can tell what devices are connected to the main router or satellite, you can cut internet access off to any device, there’s a lot of info and features in the app. Stop fussing with that modem and router from your cable provider or that old set up from a few years ago and upgrade today!

(Long Review) This is the best WiFi System I've owned. The range on this system is more than enough to cover my entire 3000 sq. ft. house (incl. basement, back patio and out to the front of driveway) and the signal is both strong and reliable (doesn't drop off, no dead zones). Also, since this system is a WiFi 6 system I SHOULDN'T be needing to change/upgrade this system anytime soon. No technical issues with the system to speak of yet (knock on wood), the biggest hiccup for me was with the app. I particularly like the feature of being able to see everything that is connected to my network via the app, and I purposefully specifically name each device that is connected so that I can see if a device were to get on my network without my authorization (hasn't happened yet to date, system also has great security features). However, whenever I add new devices I've found the need to reboot the system sometimes in order for new devices to show up in app properly (found this out via NetGear's Orbi Forums). This is not a huge deal at all for me, but I did want to mention it since other people may find this to be a bigger issue.

Hands down this is the best modem router mesh combo on the market and it shows! My internet speeds are almost exactly what i pay for and i can go to my neighbors house 3 doors down and still have 3 bars of wifi. On the downside working with best buy to purchase this was a nightmare!

They work great! Easy to set up, although having xfinity makes it just slightly harder than any other provider. Provides excellent range and speed on our split level thick walled home.

Huge improvement over my previous setup. I had the D-Link DGL4500 and it constantly dropped connection. No issues with this one. Speed and range are greatly improved.

Connections great. Speed great. Works well inside and outside house. Little trouble with satellite but think that is due to placement more than product

It’s ok, for the price. It’s capped at 1gbp. And some devices on the satelite operate at a very slow speed. Day 1 the range was incredible. Now the range is not as good. The customer support for net gear wants you to pay a subscription for support.

Great would recommend this if have multiple devices i wish there was different colors i like the white would cool its a big device also but the fact you can add more satellites to it to increase the range is awesome.

It really is incredible just how much better this system is compared to my arris g36 and WiFi extender. I live in a smaller 1,800 sqft condo…I had zero WiFi connection with the Arris g36 and extender I purchased outside…I now have 50-80mbps WiFi download speeds outside in the middle of the street (roughly 50-60 ft away from building) which blows my mind…using the same WiFi name/connection compared to having the router connection AND the extender‘s separate connection band. 150% recommend this bundle. The only issue was the initial setup after having activation with xfinity…I had a hard time connecting the cable modem/router to internet via the app. But it’s still amazing compared to the other options available on the market.

These are excellent and works perfectly. I no longer have dead spots in my house. I can go from the second floor, to the basement, to my back deck, or to my garage and still have perfect wifi.

Love the range covers all areas . Setup was a hassel took several days. Contacted provider several times. Finally they got it to work.
