It was very easy to use and was basically plug and play. It was also great that it has an outlet on the front. But depending on your living situation, you might be better off with a fast mesh wi-fi setup than using something like this. I found that it connecting to this via ethernet pretty regularly got slower speeds than the wifi 6 point I was near. So it really is best if its not going very far through your house, if you don't need the maximum speed you get from your ISP's modem, or if you have something that can only be connected via ethernet.
I generally get 700mbps down from my ISP, and with these on separate floors, I was getting around 200 through the powerline. That is still fast, but the Wifi 6 mesh routers got a lot closer to the speeds I was paying for.

I purchased 2 sets of these for two reasons.
1. My kids were complaining about their video game systems having lag and "high ping" during online game playing.
2. I had some places in the home without wifi coverage.
the kids have been happy with the increased speed and performance of their online games, and i used one of these to plug in a 2nd wifi AP in the house.
Using these are much easier than trying to re-wire the home with cat 6 cable, and they seem to work just great.

Easy to detup & provides a wired connection. Don't expect your speed to be as fast as what you pay for with your ISP though. Since this used the wiring in the home, it is known to be a slower connection, but that's not necessarily a fault of the product

Our house is 2300 square feet and is a new construction and the mesh system I ahve is "supposed to adequately cover 4,000 sq ft" but... that doesn't seem to include my office. So... with work from home being my new norm I needed better connection and didn't want to run network cables up 2 floors from my basement. So, i got one of these hoping it would help! It works FANTASTIC on average when everyone is gone I get 330Mbps speed tests (I'm paying for 400Mbps.

Excellent product. Boasters didn’t work new routers but this did. My setup was in the basement at the opposite end of the house (4,000sf) from the router on the first floor and this is the only thing that gave me good enough performance to stream video games record call upload and work from home. Highly recommend!
The performance people say you loose through this method is smaller than they say it’s not even noticeable.
The wall I was connected in at one point had water damage and the electrical in the house was by no means new but it didn’t effect my performance at all so old home owners in my experience you are good for purchase of this product.

so i had an old tplink powerline before this, it is reliable but it often overheats and internet slows down significantly, since it only has 1 port and now i require two port, instead of getting an hub, i decides to upgrade it all together. after getting the netgear 2000, not only i got the port i needed. also the internet speed significantly increased, there is virtually no difference than directly plunged in from the router. needlessly to say i was very impressed and satisfied. highly recommand.

This product is great. I have a dead zone downstairs because my router is upstairs. I bought this at the recommendation of my ISP because they were sold-out and weren't going to get a reorder soon. I installed it with ease and it works great. It's just like having my ethernet cable directly into my cable box.

This is my second pair of Powerlines. I originally purchased a pair about 9 years ago to see if they really work. They do! No drilling. No wiring. It really is as simple as plugging them into the wall and plugging your ethernet cables into the jacks. Should take less then 5 minutes. Running at speeds above 80 mbps. Streaming netflix without a glitch. My house is wired with the old aluminum garbage as well. You could probably do better than me!

Ive never heard of this type of product before. Honeslty I had no idea of what to really expect. Prior to using this my wifi connection in my room was terrible so connecting my ps4 to the wifi was a pain. But ever since i got this thing my connection has never been better! If you want better connection to your router get this dont waste your money on wifi "extensions".
This thing is a bit bulky though but definitly worth it overall!

Works very well. The signal strength light is very useful to determine which plug to use. I'm running a POE switch powering 2ea 4k security cameras. No noticeable stuttering or lag. I would have given in 5stars, but the design covers both sockets.

Exactly what I needed. Quite easy to use-plug & play! Connected one of this to my fiber router & power source, then connected the other to my home office power outlet & hooked up an ethernet cable to my desktop & to an Airport extreme (created another wireless network). It works exceptionally well. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I was a little uncertain but this works very well for me. It sure beats having to run Ethernet through my walls in order to get a solid connection. I'm actually getting speeds greater than I am paying for, and the connection is just under three times faster than the WiFI signal, which is pretty good. Impressive.

These were a great purchase! Was tired of the wifi connection busting up at times, or lagging. Couldn't figure out an easy way to run cat5/6. Stumbled upon these, and didn't look back. Was skeptical at first, but they work great. Never an outage, and performance is fantastic. Was faster than the wifi, and I love that it's a secure connection.

Never seen this before but sends internet across power lines. Plug Ethernet cable into Netgear outlet and modem. Plug other Netgear outlet end into receptical near device you want to supply with Ethernet cable. Has a single power outlet on each Netgear outlet so you can plug things in that you may have unplugged. Does not work by plugging into power bar... must be a wall power receptical. The techie at Best buy said may run into other problem and that is your main panel has two bars on it to supply breakers.... if the receptical you plug into isn't wired to a breaker on the same bar side as the receptical you are getting signal from it appearantly doesn't work. So you have a 50/50 chance of it working. In my case it does. And really well. My speed test on the modem is 92 and the speed test on the other side came up at 74 so that is pretty respectable, certainly better than Wi-Fi. Don't forget if it doesn't work then you can take it back at Best Buy and get a range extender. This is also expandable so you can buy more Netgear outlets and pick up the signal in other locations. Remember range extenders don't always work because of dense walls and other electronic interference.
