My criteria for buying a camera were these (keeping in mind I'm a novice when it comes to cameras): - smaller than "normal" size DSLR's - long zoom >50x - decent low light shooting - HD video This camera met or exceeded these qualifications, although low light shots were only decent, could've been better. And the image stabilization feature was just ok, especially when zoomed all the way.

The few pictures I have taken have been great. I have not traveled as yet an look forward to the extended optical zoom to to get those distance shots without having to change lenses.

Great compact camera. Looks and feels like a small DSLR camera. Powerful zoom lens. Takes nice pictures. Great for traveling.

I wanted an improved super-zoom compared to my previous P100, and this fit the bill. Very good optical qualities, very well stabilized at full zoom. I still need to learn more about its settings, but am quite pleased.

gave this for daughters birthday. she loves it.she likes photgraphing stars, with it's long reach, it's great for moonshots,and long far away objects. images are pretty sharp for just about any thing.

My wife wanted the 900, she got it, we both tried it, and returned it, this 610 is amazing, it does things the more expensive cameras to, it produces awesome pictures, has all the versatility of cameras twice the price, and does more then we could have expected, the smart phone App is great! It deserves double the star rating, and is highly recommended, for the beginner, and for the more seasoned photographer, get it while you can!!!!

The camera works well but is not good in low light. I used at some concerts and it was not good in low light. Also at the full zoom pictures are not crisp. I have only used it twice so maybe with use some features maybe better.

Is ligth and comfortable. Very good pictures. Excellent zoom for an architect, like me.

We've been looking a LONG time to try to find a simple camera- the Nikon Coolpix P610 fits the bill very well without breaking the bank! I feel comfortable recommending to anyone who would like to have a "better than cellphone" type of photographic experience. This camera delivers superior performance without requiring a Phd to use it!!!

It takes really good pictures I just wish the video was the same it has a good quality but not as much as I wanted but overall its a great camera

The Nikon CoolPix P610 is light weight, very transportable, has terrific zooming capability and the automatic settings are very helpful. I wanted a camera that was highly functional but did not want to carry around a case of lens. I love this camera. It even has WiFi.

Great camera with an awesome zoom. However the zoom does require the use of a tripod due to the magnification.

The camera is easy to use and takes great pictures. Easy to download photo's wirelessly. The flip screen is good to use to record video.

So far, so good. You'll for sure want to get a case for it. The auto settings are easy to figure out and swivel display is pefect for "selfies!" The goal is to learn the custom settings for the New Year! But it's a fun camera if you want the "in between" from a DSLR and point and shoot.

This is a straight-forward great camera for a sort-of beginner. Wonderful quality.
