Nikon 5600 with 18-55 and 18-140 mm lense kit

Nikon 5600 with 18-55 and 18-140 mm lense kit. SnapBridge stinks. Spent hours with no avail. Purchased 2 cameras in a row. Same 5600 with kit. Ended up with Sony a6000 mirrorless. I'm better satisfied. It has 11 frames per second. Takes great pics. You can also by adaptors and use vintage lenses for cheap. A6000 has great (play memories) wifi app for uploading stills. Not a problem. Best Buy sales rep. Says SnapBridge works for 1out of 10 people.

Not reliable with WiFi nor Bluetooth

Got this camera and had to return it immediately, after investing hours trying to make the WiFi/Bluetooth Connectivity work. I was so excited when I got home with my new camera. I went with this one because on paper it had everything I needed, which was mostly and aside from picture quality, the WiFi/Bluetooth capability. The camera wouldn’t connect at all, although it did say it was connected. I was never able to observe the pictures on my phone, which was the main purpose. After hours trying and dealing with the low budget app, Snapbridge, I gave up, returned it and got a Lightning to USB cable to just use my old non WiFi/Bluetooth camera. Disappointed... I really wanted it to work.

Not a good choice for a first DSLR camera

I was rather disillusioned by my purchase. It is my first DSLR camera and it is very technologically advanced. The camera did not have the latest firmware loaded. There was no manual and no software with it, perhaps it is on-line. I also find this camera to be very non-user friendly. I does take beautiful pictures and has lots of capabilities, if you are knowledgeable.

Great camera, but the additional cost isn't justified over "older" cameras. The main difference is the touch screen. Other than that, it's the same processor, same lens, and you are only saving a few grams in weight. Save a couple hundred bucks and check out the D5300

The camera works fine. I just don’t like that it requires the use of propriety software to transfer the photos. I think I will migrate to a Sony mirrorless.

This camera is slightly more difficult to operate than my other Nikon.
