    I bought the Z5ii for a smaller travel camera to go along with my Z8/Z9 and am continually impressed by the performance in this camera. It offers most of the functionality and features of the Z8/Z9 bodies. It is way more capable than the price suggests. I use it for so much more than I originally intended.

    The Z5II is a great improvement over the Z6II and Z5. The autofocus speed and accuracy is much better and there are so many more improvements they are too numerous to list. I highly recommend this camera for it’s entry level price but high end features and performance.

    The uptick in dynamic range capture capabilites is very apparent when editing improperly exposed photos. I was awed that even with that plus, the photos didn't take on an odd tint which is typical with some other Nikons.

    Coming from a Nikon z6ii I would say the focus is faster but doesn’t have the build quality of the z6 bodies

    Thought the focus would be faster. The bird setting works pretty well with birds in flight but not so well picking them up in foliage. My Z63 without the bird setting still does a better job.
