    we ended up returning this one, only because it wasn't capable of handling the multiple zone set up we require.

    I was skeptical at first, but this receive is really value for your money. It saves you $200 off of other brands and provides you equal or more than what you would get if you paid more.

    I previously had an Onkyo for many years. It actually broke and Onkyo repaired it easily and quickly. After the warranty ran out it broke again. But it did work for years and had features we liked. So purchased this NR-6100. Well we actually got 2. The first worked for a couple weeks and did a firmware update and then some things stopped working. We exchanged it easily at BestBuy. The second one did the firmware update no problem. It worked for a couple weeks and we heard a loud pop. After that it displayed thermal error on the front display and stopped working. Onkyo went bankrupt and I guess quality is worse than before. Onkyo is just not working for us so we returned this receiver and purchased a different brand.
