Two defective Onkyo receivers in a row

I didn't even plug it in for fear it could short out and catch fire. Returned in and ordered another one. Got that a week later and it was defective as well. No sound at all. It turned on and display lit up, but none of the modes or inputs produced sound. Returned it and ended up with a Denon AVR-X2700H I bought direct from Denon. Easy setup and speaker programming. Sound is spectacular. Highly recommend this Denon receiver.

I am delighted with it. As to how long, time will tell. Have only had it for a few months.

Going in for repair less than a year later

I think the fan stopped working and the receiver overheated, went into standby mode and turned on again. Purchased extended warranty returned to store for a full refund. Read online where Onkyo has had overheating issues in the past.
