My store didn’t have the Nikon remote in stock and this was recommended by an employee. I’m using it with a Nikon D3200 and so far it’s working flawlessly. I’m not sure of it’s maximum range; I’ve used it out to about 10 feet. I took the attached moon photo using it.

Unlocks bulb mode for Sony alphas

Great for long exposure photography. Also, for my Sony a7rii; you can’t take pictures with an exposure longer than 30seconds without a IR remote. Essentially this enables you to unlock bulb mode( click to take pic; click to release)

For folks who get bamboozled by the 'Universal' in the name of the product, there is a web page that lists all of the compatible cameras. You can find it tucked away on the Product Features page, but I posted it here--hopefully for your convenience.

For as cheap as this was it is worth it to ensure you don't get as much shaking when it comes to long exposure shots. It may not be the most fancy remote on the market but it works

Unfortunately it took me far too long to finally try to connect it to my Nikon D3500 camera only to eventually realize after some research, that it is not compatible with my camera. Unfortunately it is too late for me return it but hopefully this might save someone else from making the same mistake, since the box only mentions a link to check out for compatibility.

I have a canon Rebel T7 and I have a Canon EOS M6 mark II for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get this to work for either camera. I’m assuming it does not work at all. Save your money and don’t buy this.

Used on family vacation across country. Used with Sony a6600. Worked admirably, but seemed to be pretty dependent on clear line of sight, making the remote visible in family group shots. But still, very glad I got it.

I assume this item works well. I was told by associate that this is what I needed to go with our new Canon Power Shot camera. We received it a few days after ordering it. And then when we could not figure out how to work it, we were told we needed the next level up of camera in order for the remote to work. We took it back and kept the camera without a remote.

This is slick. For those tripod shots that are set up and you just want to “snap “ the photo without touching the camera physically. And it’s great for shots in which I am a subject, aka selfies

This remote only works directly infront of the camera & pointed at the sensor .... i thought it would work from behind the camera or the sides like my previous shutter remote, but it does not .... so i dont use it, id rather use the timer ....

I really wish I could say that I have been able to enjoy this product but sadly I can't. I have a new Nikon D3500 and was hoping that this would work for that particular model. When I looked up wireless shutter controls online it said that this one was compatible. But upon opening it and trying to synch it with the camera I found that sense my camera doesn't have an Infrared sensor this will not work with my camera. I had to return it but the return process was easy and hassle free.

Looks like it would have been perfect. But it wasn’t compatible with my camera. I saw that it was compatible with the Canon Rebel SL2, so I hoped it would work with my new SL3. It doesn’t, so I returned it for a prompt refund. Easy.
