4 1/2 Stars - Good for Audiophiles, Too

I have a number of far more expensive speakers and some very nice amplification. These speakers were purchased for a limited use situation, but I still wanted good quality. Bottom line: For me, they work, especially on Tidal with an MQA DAC, like Dragonfly Red (what I'm using). They make music enjoyable. They are not as "fun" as the RP-600Ms but they share the same resonant quality in the center image when placed well; they are not "bright" either, as Klipsch speakers can be. Personally, I find the top-end slightly rolled off, and the midrange mellow. The bass is actually fairly prominent, maybe a bit lacking in firmness (some say the bass is great, some say it is nonexistent--showing, once again, that setup matters). I'm enjoying mine in a nearfield setup, 4 feet apart with tweeters at ear level, toed in at about 30 degrees, only about 4 inches from the wall (I found that moving them further away didn't make any difference). The imaging and separation are both very good. The clarity is not stellar, but it is just fine. I find that acoustic and jazz really shine: crisp articulation in all the instruments with warm bass and nicely forward vocals. Rock, Hip Hop, and Classical are not as satisfying, but still very good. Big surprise: Post Malone's Circles sounds pretty good at loud volume. Lesser surprise: Mahler sounds good, too. I'm streaming Tidal and Amazon HD on two PCs: Dragonfly Red on a Surface Pro 7 and the built-in USB DAC on an LG Gram 17. Both sound good. All things being equal, I prefer the Tidal with Dragonfly Red, but some Amazon HD tracks are digitized from better sources than their Tidal counterparts (and vice versa), and this trumps any technical issues. YouTube music sounds good, too (these speakers are good with lesser quality audio), These are not speakers to analyze in-depth, they're just fun, and they make music sound nice. Critical listening sessions just emphasize the fact that these are small speakers with the limitations of their price. But if you just enjoy the music, I think you will be pleased and also occasionally surprised to hear something interesting in the music that was unexpected, maybe a slightly different emphasis on voicings you had not concentrated on in past hearings. These little speakers can do that. Overall: A very good value, a good quality active speaker at a reasonable price (especially on sale, and even more so when refurbished on sale) that even an audiophile can enjoy when the goal is keep the wallet safe.

For a small med size setup it was easy to wire and great quality with my audio technical vinyl player. Bluetooth also sounds good. You are paying an extra 50 for the name, but you get a good to very good product.

These things paired up with my Audio-Technica AT-LP120xusb with no problem. They are insanely good. The bluetooth is extremely easy to use and they sound just fantastic. Incredible for the price.

A bit spendy, but good sound

These speakers are a bit spendy, but have both analog and optical digital inputs plus USB and a subwoofer output. The remote control unit has two sets of volume controls: one for overall volume, and one for just the subwoofer. As is often the case these days, they don't quite have the low end of larger speakers; the bass response bottoms out at 76 Hz. Fortunately, they do have the subwoofer output, so I was able to pair them with a Klipsch subwoofer to get that extra bass and fuller sound. These speakers also have Bluetooth. I suspect that may be overkill for most folks, but it is an option. Most importantly, these speakers sound good.

I purchased these for use in a home desk setup, primarily for music/games. While I did end up returning these for LS50s, these are an amazing value. I was actually really impressed by the sound these were capable of putting out. Very clear, excellent vocals, although very weak bass. My main reason for returning them was the very narrow sweet spot when sitting near field. I had to angle them just so, and sit in a very particular spot to get the best sound. Shifting my seat in the slightest changed the sound dramatically. That said, if you want a full stereo system in this price range, I can't think of anything that sounds better. This is an excellent overall package with solid build quality.

This speaker is turned out to be a bigger surprise than I expected. Coming in such a small package it sure has a full sound. We also added a 10" sub they make a pretty good pair.

I bought these to provide a better listening experience for my desktop setup. I like to listen to music while editing videos for YT and doing work. Now that I am working from home more upgrading my speakers became a priority. These Klipsch’s replaced a set of Creative pebbles that I got on Amazon. You can’t compare the two set of speakers as they are not in the same class. I listened to Diana Krall’s Swonderful and the sound was brilliant. Soundstage was perfect. I’ve been listening to tiny desk concerts from various artists (check out moonchild) and these speakers show their strength. I paired them with a Def Tech 1000 sub and it is a perfect setup for me. I would highly recommend these speakers.

I didn't expect such a big sound from these speakers. I used them in my living room for Thanksgiving with friends and family. The response was amazing, the sound filled the room.

I got these because of their ability to connect to my tv, turntable and Bluetooth. I also connected a subwoofer. If you have a smaller room, these are great!

Let me start by saying that these speakers are a must have! I went to Best Buy and listened to the display Klipsch had set up and I was not impressed. Not sure if it was because of the environment or what but I left without buying them. I kept reading the reviews and they all were positive, so I took a chance and bought them. Once I set them up at home I was shocked on how great they sounded!! Nothing like the store demo. Buy these speakers!!

This is the perfect solution for your desktop, offering sweet highs and a a pronounced midrange. The bass however, rolls off significantly, definitely requiring a subwoofer. The dynamic bass function and placement closer to a wall can help with this, but those looking for an all in one desktop solution, you will be left wanting more. For the price, the signature horn Klipsch sound is hard to beat, making you feel immersed in a live performance sort of presentation, especially if you sit slightly back from them at your desk.

Great clear sound and sounds great with my LP’s. I was supposed at the power from these bookshelf speakers but I needed something that wouldn’t take up too much space and these worked.

    Good Multi Purpose Speaker

This multi purpose speaker is a good compromise as long as you understand these are like multi function printers. Like MFPrinters, they are a combination of individual components (printer, copier, scanner/fax). There are compromises since the ultimate choice would be each individual component. If you do not want a separate receiver, speaker & sub, phono connetivity with multiple inputs & bt because of space limitations/price, these are good speakers. The 41 @ 35 watts is ideal for smaller applications, i.e. home office/study, dorm, etc. The 51 @ 65 watts would be better for larger applications although the 41 does a great job.
