Quick and reliable installation of a remote starter. The installator seemed very knowledgeable. My only gripe is that the installator didn't offered me to add the rear and front defrosters, so I had to come back.

The installers suggested I get another brand of remote start which is better for my car. The conversion cost negligible of the new remote starter. They installed within 3 hrs, which most of the time was trying to figure out the schematics of the circuits from the car manufacturer.

The tech originally told me that due to schedules it would take several weeks to get my car in. He asked if I needed the vehicle overnight, and he would work it in. They took care of my vehicle quickly and professionally. They walked me through my new device and sent me on my way.

I had a remote start on my last truck and missed it terribly. I bought his one after it went on sale and all of the reviews I read were positive. I have to say, it works flawlessly and the the two way remote is great. I always know if the truck received the start signal or not. Love it!!

Had hard to find appointments but finally had one appointment technician was really knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. Was mentioned in previous reviews that there was extra charges but he didn’t charge anything extra. It was great deal and smooth experience with Best Buy.

They accidentally blew a fuse. Normally not a big deal, this was a major fuse that could not be obtained for 4-5 days from my dealer. They stood behind their work and offerred up a rental for the time it took to fix the car. We didn't need the rental so they gave up some savings in the store.

The tech was very polite. He was also very informative and showed me how to use the remote start system I had installed. He explained the customizable features and offered to adjust them. Very pleased with the service and will definitely go back for any future auto electronic needs.

The best thing was that the installation was free with the purchase of the car starter and the Geek Swuad did an excellent job of installing it and testing it out before me. Completed the job in a timely manner and only charged me $5 extra for necessary parts. Highly recommended.

The installation was quick, did not need additional equipment and it works great. We leave in an area with extreme hot and cold, so this remote starter is great for that. The price was reasonable compared to the dealer.

I cannot say enough good things about Ty and Brandon at the install center. Product works well, they explained how to use it and made me feel like I made the right purchase. Without them, I definite wouldn’t be as happy.

This worked out perfectly for my son. It has remote lock/unlock and remote start. You can see in the remote when the car starts which is even better than the remote start on my car which I have to be within sight to know if it started. Great unit and even better service from Geek Squad.

I bought a packaged auto remote start and install. The remote itself was shipped in 2 different packages, from 2 different locations.
When I got them, I got online to set up an appointment to have it installed.
I clicked on my local store to select it, and got a message that due to the volume of requests, I had to call the store directly.
I called the store, and after several minutes of navigating the stupid automated phone system, I finally got a person, and was told that they did not have an installer.
He told me the location of the nearest store that did, which was 50 miles away.
I got online to set up an appointment with that store, and a message came up that due to the volume of requests, I needed to call the store directly.
I called the store, and after several minutes of navigating the stupid automated phone system, it finally went through to the department. The phone rang for about 4 minutes before it was ever answered.
I explained to the guy who picked up that I had bought this remote, and needed to schedule an appointment to have it installed.
He said the installer makes his own appointments directly, and he would transfer me.
The phone rang for 22 minutes, and was never picked up. I had to hang up, as my lunch break was over.
I waited about an hour, and tried to call again.
After dealing with the stupid automated phone system again, it went through to the department, where it was picked up almost right away.
I explained to this guy that I had just bought a remote, and needed to set up an appointment to have it installed.
He told me that the installer makes his own appointments directly, and I would need to talk to him - but he had just left for lunch about 10 minutes prior. He took my name and number, and said he would have the installer call me as soon as he returned, in 20 or 30 minutes.
This was about 1:00.
At 4:45 it was time for me to go home.
I was half way home when my phone rang. It was the installer.
He said he could get me in Dec 19th, and wanted to know what time.
I told him I could not do it on the 19th, as I couldn't take off work. He asked me what days would work, and I told him I wasn't sure off hand, as I was driving and could not look at my calendar. I asked if he could call back in about 20 minutes.
He said no, he returned calls only at the end of the day, and he was on his way home.
He asked if I could email him my schedule, and I said sure. He started giving me his email address, and I had to stop him. Told him I was driving, and couldn't write. (I don't text and drive, nor do I try to write when I'm driving). I asked him to hank up, call me right back, and just leave me a voice message with his email address.
He did.
This was a Thursday evening.
When I got home, I immediately sent him an email with my schedule.
I still had not heard a word from him by Sunday evening, so I went online to Best Buys site to find a way to contact Best Buy.
When I clicked on the "Contact Us" link, there was no email, no online form to fill out - nothing. All it did was take me to a self-help, FAQ page.
There was a "Chat with a rep" button, so I clicked on it. It didn't work.
Then I went to Best Buy Facebook page. No way to contact them there, either.
So I posted a message on an existing thread (it wouldn't let me start a new thread), and told them that I was going to return it, and buy local. There are local shops that would love to have my business.
Of course, they were on that right away. Too late.
Monday morning I called a local store and got some info.
Monday afternoon I went to the local store, and picked out a remote and made an appointment. I even upgraded from the remote he recommended on the phone, and ended p buying one that was twice as much as the one I got from Best Buy.
Monday evening, I took the remote in to the local Best Buy and returned it.
I won't be back.

Didn't Get It Right the First Time But...

I had to go to two different locations to get the installation perfected but it was well worth it. The techs in both locations did a good job and I would recommend them both (with the second location getting a slightly higher rating). Great price on a great product.

As always great quality installation by Best Buy geek squad installers! Josh did a great job real clean work good cleanup. As always viper alarms remote starts and accessories working flawlessly! You can't go wrong with this purchase! Very happy and satisfied all the way around.

Overall the installation went well. The time promised was kept and my vehicle was derived back to me at the promised time. The only complaint I have was the installer left dirty hand prints on the hood of my truck.

The guys at the Bloomington, IN best buy are friendly and knowledgeable. They answer any questions and have installed a handful of electronics in my vehicles over the years. They seem pretty honest when offering advice and troubleshooting for diy stuff.

The unit has only one two way remote included, NOT two. But that one two way remote works well.
Installation was easy, drop off, pick up et voila.Guys were nice and everything still works on the car. But it cannot be wired into some pre-existing features so you will still need your car key fob if you care about those features.
Use, works quite well actually. Only one time did it not start. I was around 1000 feet away (says it works up to 3000 feet) but my car was in the middle of an above ground open air car garage, second floor. So... all and all, as expected... sort of. Really wanted that second two way key fob.

Nice product that makes life so convenient on a cold morning. Be aware the Geek Squad may be booked 6 weeks out to get your unit installed. Maybe it was the Christmas rush or maybe that's the way it always is.
