The doorbell is easy to install. The baseplate uses the same screw hole configuration as the previous version. It uses a different frequency for Wi-Fi from the high speed internet. There is a delay for communication.

Purchased as a replacement Ring Doorbell. Our original one was purchased 7 years ago, it was starting to show its age by having to recharge more frequently and the colors were fading. What a huge difference with the new model. Colors are crisp, focus area has a lot of adjustability. The battery lasts twice as much between charges, more than one month

Absolutely love this doorbell. I get an alert on my phone and can see who's there even from my bedroom! You can draw a privacy area to not detect motion. I live in an apartment bldg, so it is very nice to be able to obsure my across the hall neighbor's front door.

I love the ring cam! I work out of town so I can have a live look at my porch anytime I want! The picture is clear in both the daylight and the dark. The sound quality is good, and connectivity is good (considering I'm borrowing Wi-Fi from the neighbor right this min). It was easy to install and setup!

I’ve owned several Ring devices and this one is on par with the other. The video quality is great and response time on picking up motion is great. Price is hard to beat for the convenience and reassurance it provides. Only inconvenience is having to charge the entire device instead of a removal battery.

Setup was super easy—took maybe 15–20 minutes, and the app walked me through everything step by step. The video quality is really good, even at night. I can clearly see who’s at the door, and the motion alerts are super helpful. I get notified the second someone walks up, whether it's a package being dropped off or just a neighbor saying hi. One of my favorite things is the two-way talk. I can chat with delivery drivers when I’m not home or tell someone to leave the package in a specific spot. It’s also great when I just don’t feel like opening the door.

I was concerned about the battery life,(thinking I wouldn’t last long) I was wrong very good battery life really easy to recharge and very user friendly I love it. I would recommend getting the ring chime with it.
