Bought this to keep an eye on my cats while on vacation and it worked very well. The only problem was the horrible feedback crackling when speaking. Don't know how to fix this but at least I got to watch them.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to audio. Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including capturing audio. We recommend following these steps in the Ring app: Tap the top menu (☰), then Devices. Choose your Ring Floodlight Cam. Tap "Device Health." Under the "Network" section, you'll see your device's "Signal Strength." If your "Signal Strength" (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Moving your Wi-Fi router closer to your Ring device may improve its connection. If your Wi-Fi connection is strong and you're still experiencing audio issues, reboot your Ring camera by following these steps: Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your Ring device. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Scroll down and tap "Reboot This Device." Wait a few minutes for your device to reboot.

I have many Ring camera's and this one will not stay connected to my internet for some reason. I have to keep resetting it. This is the one Ring one I have ever had any problems with. When it works it has a very good picture but it will not stay connected.

We are here today to provide you with education to assist you in finding the best solution for your home’s environment.
It sounds like you experienced some connection issues with the device. Usually, devices falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In edition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Wireless networks utilize different channels for communication. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band uses channels 1-11 and the 5 GHz band uses channels 36-165. In some cases, setting up your Ring device(s) can fail due to wireless interference or congestion.

Great cameras, they pick up every movement and notifies quickly. I have them to keep an eye on my elderly mother while im at work. Highly recommend

I have multiple Ring cameras in my place and I've been happy with its performance for the last 3 years, so far. This new cam with Pan-Tilt ability is an added feature that I'm learning to like, You now have the ability to look around your field of view any time. Minus one star for the price though. They originally came out for like $79 and now discounted at like $50.
