A $3K Big Black Hole-On-The-Wall After 90 Days

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Samsung 83” S90C OLED new 90 days ago, and BestBuy delivered our big beautiful TV two days later. While watching the Chiefs football game last week, the screen suddenly went black. We went through all the troubleshooting steps to get it back on, but the screen is dead, dead, dead. The TV powers on and the sound still works, but it has a totally black screen, with a blinking red light beside the power button. Bad sign. We’re SO disappointed! It bricks in 90 days? (Glad we had a dependable 65” LG C3 to watch the end of the game.) I’ve spent hours online and on the phone with Best Buy and Samsung to schedule someone to come out to repair it. Finally thought it was getting scheduled and was waiting to get notified of the appointment time, but just got an email from Samsung that I have to start all over again online to request service. The Samsung website locks up, then tells me to try again. Over and over. Looks like I’ll have to call Customer Service again. Adding insult to injury, Samsung is telling me the TV only has a 6-month limited warranty, when it’s supposed to be a 1-year parts and labor warranty. Hope to get that straightened out when I talk to Samsung again.

Don’t buy from Best Buy

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received a broken tv, then it was out of stock so I had to pay 400$ for a similar tv to get it earlier, 2 weeks later on the day of the delivery it was postponed. So I tried to get my original tv . It would have cost me another 100$ for the original tv I purchased. I got lied too on the phone spent 2 hour tying to figure it out. I would give customer service 0/10 I don’t recommend Best Buy. I only spent 3000$ I guess that’s not enough to get decent customer service.

Tried BB support, Samsug repeatedly and Denon (receiver) to no avail. Google S90C and you will sadl;y see Audiop issues everywhere. SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy sony or LG

After 3 weeks in our home a second install the This tv started having half screen vertical streaks ?? The geek squad arrived today and suggested a pick up and exchange.

Delayed delivery

I was told it would be delivered on Friday and communicated with the agent throughout the day just for him to say he can’t deliver until first thing today. Now the delivery is supposed to come tomorrow. Too much wasting of my time.

However, if most of your content comes from streaming services, which often don’t yet match those resolutions, an ultra-high-resolution TV might not be as practical. This TV offers excellent picture quality and everything you need to enjoy your favorite content without overspending on technology that streaming hasn’t fully caught up with yet.

Stunning picture for full HD and higher content

This is not like the 77" version with a superior QD OLED (this is the WOLED version). But Unless you are sitting side by side and are an enthusiast, you will never tell the difference. The Blacks are the star of the show as with all OLEDs. You will be able to not only see actual details in a dark shadowy scene, but can see areas of the screen in HDR shown in stunning colors at the same time. Incredible. The main issu I have with this TV (or OLED in general) is that I also watch cable shows and news shows, and unless you are on ful HD or 4K (or better still, 4K HDR), the colors and brightness are nowhere near as good as my older LED TV. So if your content is all streaming and/or Blue Discs and gaming, you have an unbelievable TV for the price (best value from all the other options for LG, sony, TCL, Hisense etc.)
