It loads Kontakt instruments at least 3x as fast as the former LaCie Thunderbolt drive I was using. Amazing. I use the first one for library storage as I'm working in Final Cut Pro X. There is very little wait time to rendering - it has always been spot on. Best thing going so far.

Best USB 3 SSD I've ever used

I also have a PNY 1 TB SSD and it seems to have trouble when run too long while this Samsung can take as much use as I can throw at it.

It seems to go from 1mph to 100mph( you know what I mean) SSD is REAL, the way computing is suppose to act, no beachball, no waiting, just click and its there WOOOOOOHOOOOO and using a external SSD is a lot EZer then installing one.Get up and get one and you'll see what Im typing about.

Fast, great performance

I'm able to run virtual machines directly in the drive, makes a portable lab much easier. The performance is on par with an internal ssd. Would buy again. Getting the GS certified version was perfect, save some money and get a sweet drive.

The only issue is that when I bought it I got a refurbished one and had to reformat to get my laptop to recognize it

Great investment and incredibly fast. I've ran memory intensive applications off this portable SSD between computers with no problem.
