Great hard drive. Only thing is that the usb cable won't stay plugged and would disconnect constantly which is very annoying.

I doubt I will trust a refurb item in this category again. Bought this, plugged it in to the PC, wasn’t ‘seen’, so I attempted to initialize it. I even went as far as using the old DOS prompt to investigate. I almost considered opening up the case to see if anything was actually inside. Oh well. Caveat Emptor!

Title says it all. SSD was dead on arrival. Very disappointed at Best Buy, since the Samsung SSD is is really amazing (I have the 500GB, but needed to upgrade storage). Geek Squad, did you really refurbished this? NOTE: negative review for BEST BUY, not Samsung.

I thought i was getting a bargain, purchasing a Geek Squad refurbished item. I don't know who certified it, because when I got the drive it didn't work. I returned it and bought one new off eBay for a better price than Best Buy.

mine didn't even work and read. I took it back to the best buy and geek squad but they had no idea. stop selling defected items best buy.

After 3 months, it constantly disconnected in the middle of work/gaming. Very frustrating.

This is my 3rd GeekS ReFurb T5. What else can I say? I use them as scratch drives in video editing. Has NEVER FAILED ME YET. Too fast for words. When I finish project I store it on it's own T5.

I haven't used this hard drive *much*, altho I am looking forward to using it... I'm here today to let you all know, the refurbish of some of these drives was incomplete, and some people aren't going to know how to fix it. This is primarily b/c if you follow the trouble shooting guide for "I don't see my SSD in Drive Selection" (ie, the SSD does not show up as an accessible drive in your File Explorer), and you attempt to follow the instructions for #5, there's this statement: "Make sure that the disk is set up properly". These instructions are for techies. So, to add the remaining actions for anyone else who received drives that aren't showing up in their file explorer, but are listed as Disk Drives in your device manager: 1) Follow the existing instructions to: Right-click the My Computer icon => Select Manage => Select Storage => Click Disk Management 2) Identify which disk is the SSD by disconnecting it and seeing which drive disappears 3) reconnect the drive. when it reappears in the window, right click on it, and select "Initialize Disk" 4) When it completes initializing, go to the lower portion of the window, and right click on the box that says "unallocated" next to the drive. Create a new Volume (Simple) that encompasses all of the available space on the SSD. Most of the defaults in the options to follow should be safe. Just do a simple format and click continue until the end. If this was the only issue, the SSD should now be accessible in the File Explorer

This is a great SSD . I Used it to backup my MAC.

I got this drive to use with Sling Studio, I have not purchased that device to test it out yet. But I do plan too. I do wish Bestbuy would sell this item. hint But it does do the job with my PC or Mac with fast read and right speeds

the description said refurbished. That was a lie. My PC did not recognize the drive. NOT working
