I picked this up to replace an iris hub. I struggled with one item and it was an iris smart plug. After some tinkering with advice from some forums, I got it to work and the entire system has been flawless since.

Does the limited tasks I have for it well and I expect to add more devices and uses. Good start for developing mesh of automation. Used for second home/vacation rental automation. So far very works well, but it will be a process of accretion as devices are added.

The device does what it supposed to do. Initial set up can be difficult if you are not close to your wireless base. Recommend to be close to your wireless base before beginning your set up. Beyond that, it was a seamless integration with the Kwikset doorlock I installed at home.

This is our first smart home device and it has been amazing to use. We are now able to control the lights in our home so it can be lit when we arrive in the evenings or after dark. And knowing that there are other uses too that we can add in the future is great.

Works great with my Schlage smart deadbolt. Dumped Wink when they went stupid, sold to another company, and decided to go against their original "just buy this smart hub" and "no subscription" marketing. Wink turned into a joke. In comes Samsung!

Set up was easy and the hub recognized my devices. Currently only have three smart gadgets and the hub found them. Will be adding more to see how it handles a larger load. Just wish the smartthings app had more options

We bought this mainly for the door sensors to track activity. It was very simple to setup and i like that we can use the app on our smartphones to monitor it. It’s also nice that we have the option to add on other equipment such as cameras and window sensors if we decide to in the future.

Got this to replace Lowe's Iris product that is now defunct. Works with locks and sensors and better than Iris ever did. Would recommend this to anyone starting out doing home automation.

Since this hub can be installed via Wifi, it was easier to optimize placement for coverage. I was not limited to install near router. It requires the new SmartThings app which I have had no issues at all. Best of all, the price was significantly lower than original hub.

The hub works very well. Only issue is that it depends on internet access to control devices. If your internet is down, you are back to manual operation. Love the customization and ability to add control to devices that are not natively in the app.

This is an amazing product to automate your house with. It’s pretty much a hardware & software bridge between numerous companies to allow you to easily control your smart hardware from a single app on your phone. I’ve built two networks & used this hub on both.

Made the switch from a different hub which I don’t care to mention. Can’t believe it took me this long to come over to the SmartThings side! Glad I did, everything just worked from the get go. Will not look elsewhere ever again.

    Samsung SmartThings Hub has issues

Twice now, the hub has disconnected on its own, whilst other hubs (such as Hue, Ring and AcuRite) continued to remain connected. Not power source related as all hubs in use are power-sourced from a common power strip. Hub will not stay connected to water sensors (Samsung), although distances are well within range and walls and floors are of wood and sheetrock. Other sensors, not Samsung, serving weather systems, alarms, locks, and doorbells are not affected.

Iris by Lowe's stopped supporting the App which was PERFECT. But, all things must come to an end, Lowe's recommended SmartThings and the change over worked PERFECT. I'm really beginning to like this app and the number of products that can be connected to it. Great user instructions too.

Not a bad price for hub to get our condo at the beach 'smart'. It was easy to setup. The lock was hard to connect, but not because of the hub, but because of the lock. Samsung had a lot of help available to aid me in debugging and attaching the lock. Would recommend.

I purchased this hub to help organize all 37 different smart apps I have Ring, Arlo, Nest, and so on! I’m quite impressed with it so far and haven’t run into any issues. The Kwikset 916 works intuitively with this hub for easy locking and unlocking of doors I’m a fan!

Works great. Bought to replace wink since they now want to charge you monthly. Glad I did. The SmartThings app is better and the hub is more responsive and quicker. Been working without a lost connection for about a month now. Wink would disconnect often.

Installation was easy, I was able to set it up in less than 5 minutes, and had my phone interfacing with it in less than 10 minutes. I have a lot of Samsung products, because they have proven to be reliable, and I can't think of a single one that has stopped working for any reason.

Switched from WINK to SmartThings, has some limitation on getting different hardware to work but there is a Hugh community that has created custom fixes. If your looking to get away from WINK and have a need for ZWave & Zigbee J.B. this is the best

I bought this to expand our smart home when we bought our first house. It has worked as intended. I have multiple bulbs, sensors, door locks, fire/co alarms all synced to the hub. Great investment if you're looking for a smart home setup.
