Bought the hub because of research this hub kept coming up as the best of the bunch and most versatile with non-Samsung devices. Combined with Google Home it's pretty nice. Just wish there were more camera's that were available.

When Wink changed their business model to a monthly subscription I converted to the Samsung SmartThings hub. Works well. Easy to program and it is more flexible than the Wink was.

I use this to connect most of my home automation products.. wish it was able to connect to EVERYTHING, so only have a few things to setup using other apps. So far it’s been good to setup some switches and other things I have purchased.

I use the Samsung Hub to control my smart outlets and my ecobee 3 lite thermostat.
I was surprised to find out I can even use it when I'm not connected to my wifi.
It works well and controlling it with the smartthings app is very convenient.

I always wanted to be able to control my lights with my phone the Google systems were too expensive so this is a nice alternative compatible with many light bulbs.

I added some home automation to my house. Before I had another brand and it was laggy etc. in my new house I did smartthings. This hub responds quickly. When I hit the device on the app it responds right away. Would buy again.

Bought this for my sister, who had to move to an unfamiliar city.
The Geek Squad set it up and has worked flawlessly since.
She can see her apartment from her phone while she's away.
Reasonable price as well.

Cool 'New' Technology, BUT

Great, new technology for having a smart home. There are few competitive systems. The hub was easy to set up. Even the Samsung SmartThings devices where almost impossible to connect to the hub. I almost packaged the entire thing up and returned it, had I not spent so much time and money trying to get it to work. When everything worked, it's great. As things get off-line, it's not worth the work to get the system back in working order. I'm not convinced that other manufacturer systems are better. Checked 'would recommend' because there wasn't a 'might' option.

We have two of these - one in each home. Water sensors connect fine, however we do lose connectivity at times with our Schlage lock. Likely the lock not the hub itself.

We got this to replace a different brand that was dropping the service. I love most of the features. I'm not a fan of the way the app works. I've learned to get along with it though.

I had several Z wave devices from different manufacturers in my home, and I was looking for a good hub to consolidate them into one app. I’m a bit of a techie, so setting up and pairing items to the SmartThings hub was quite easy. The App requires you to create a free Samsung account, and it’s very user friendly.
The best part is that it works with Google Home, so it makes controlling all of my devices much easier. If I’m away from my cellphone, I can just tell the speaker to turn on my lights or to set the thermostat to a certain temperature.

For everything I needed, it works great. Door locks, video doorbell, thermostats, and other lights and TV it keeps it all in one place to easily control while you're away from home or too lazy to get out of bed... i meant sick in bed.

Replaced my Wink hub with this one. Easy to setup. The software interface could be better. Hopefully Samsung will improve it in the next firmware upgrade.
