I bought this hub to replace my Wink hub since they're charging a monthly fee. The Samsung hub is a lot easier to use and no subscription fee.

I've bought five (5) gateways/hubs so far in my quest to IoT enable my home. By far this is the easiest to use and my favorite home-based IoT hub.

I'm using the SmartThings App to manage hubs at (2) different locations ( one in Texas and one in Florida). They're connected to Routers operate (2) smart door locks/lighting at each location. Setup for my 1st hub was simple (wireless connection); setup at my 2nd location was hardwired. For some reason my SmartThings App will not accept (2) wireless connections. Samsung couldn't solve my connection problem (said my router the problem), (had to solve problem myself). However, we love the this Hub.

I was able to set up several smart devices to the hub with no issues. It is easier if you use devices on the smarting's list. It makes the integration much easier.

Bought this 3rd gen hub to replace 2nd gen, install process greatly simplified compared to previous generation hub(s). Works seamlessly with my Zwave modules, Google Home, and Nest thermostat. I have mine connected via ethernet but also checked and it worked fine on wifi as well. One thing - make sure you get the correct version of the Smart Things app from your phone/tablet app store - the old version of Smart Things would not work for me so had to find the new version that did.
