Overpriced

It's the only device I have setup with this. All the other smart things devices are pointless and overpriced. I don't need voice activated LEDs in every socket of my house.

Terrible. Useless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m starting to notice a theme with all these things that I bought from Best Buy is either they just legitimately didn’t work and Best Buy literally just offers no support for their products or a lot of them are actually I guess what you would consider to be overstock type products of sorts where they’re kind of selling things as if they’re a discount store except they’re not on discount and that’s yet again the issue that I have with this product is it’s not a legitimate product from Samsung and it’s not official at all and yet I bought it at full priceAnd I was never able to receive support

Constantly Disconnecting

I notice that the SmartThings status website has some recent issues and even more in the past. I need something more reliable than just an amusing toy that only last for a few minutes. And Samsung better not come back to me with "call our wonderful customer service and we'll help" bit. That is a huge joke. Who do you think you're kidding, Samsung? I've had a few Samsung phones and liked them, but this is ridiculous. Tomorrow is 14 days so I'm considering taking the hub, the light bulbs, the button, and the motion detector back and just be done with it.

Worked for the first day

Error 33-300

Retuned the first SmartThings hub purchased, as defective, purchased a second one and receiving the same error (33-300) on the app while trying to connect the hub. Too much trouble for a $70 device, I wish I had chosen Hubitat, but would not bet money on that working either.

Not a fan of Smart Things

Struggled to get Generic Smart House items to connect properly and went back to Wink. We have just about everything in our house from the pool to entry ways, thermostat and switches (cameras and gate sensors). Smart things was not user friendly for a home that is already “smart.”

Failed to finish setup

The device tried to do "Downloading updates..." and this step takes way more than 10 minutes AFTER 99%. Since I failed to setup this hub, there is no way I can do anything w/ other smart home devices. To make updating safe is the number 1 requirement for any consumer-based software engineer work and Samsung just failed it.

Don’t waste your money

Just a few minths after getting it, though it started going offline regularly. Now it goes off 5-6 times a day for no reason. It is a piece of junk and I do not recommend it at all.
