I bought two of these for backups and they are fast and seem to be of good/solid construction.
Note...the small size is great and I got them on sale...BIG PLUS!).
I've got confidence in Samsung product quality and hope/feel they will work as hoped for and also will last a long time.

When it comes to trusted and loved brands, Samsung to me is one of those that's at the top of my list. Smart television, Tablet, Smart watch, Cell phone, even Samsung Smart Things.. everything always integrates perfectly so when choosing a hard drive I want something that's durable and most importantly FAST upload and download speeds. Samsung captured lightning with this thing. Nothing's worth than having to wait extra long for something to load from an external hard drive like this.
It's amazing how in a short period of time the hard drives, memory cards size have continuously shrunk now to smaller than a dollar bill and with micro cards down to smaller than a fingernail. All while finding more capacity. When I was in school we had a floppy disc that was bigger than this hard drive that at max, held 1.44 megabytes lol. This holds 2 terabytes. To put that into perspective 1tb = 1,000,000mb So roughly in 20 years they've managed to put 2,000,000 times the amount of information in just about the same size.
This comes with a USB to USB type c cord, and a USB type c to USB type c. Type C making the speeds even faster. I loved how the software that is used with this came with security capabilities using a password disabling the usage of this unless you knew the password in case of loss or theft. No more worries if you lose this or someone steals it and has all of your dirty laundry haha
I'd highly recommend this to others
Ruggedized External SSD with a Cable Achilles Heel

The Good:
- Pretty good speeds. hooked straight into my PC Mobo, I can't achieve the speeds on the box of 1,050 MB/s (sustained), but I usually get around 100 MB/s, which helps transfer large swaths of data fast.
- Colors, more than just 1. At least if you get the 2TB version. If you get the 4TB version you are stuck with Black. Hey something a little more pleasing to the eye, Beige or Blue.
- Slim Profile, well it is an SSD
- Outer shell has a texture that imparts some friction on table surfaces and hands. Should help with mitigating slippages and drops. This also probably helps contribute achieve the IP65 cert
- Comes with a USB A to USB C cable, and a USB C to USB C cable. Helps a lot if a computer someone has does not have a USB Port
The Bad:
You HAVE, HAVE to use the cables provided in the box. Using any other cable might just make the drive not work with a computer (I was using a Paracable Paraflex USB-C cable before I used the one in the box). And the cables are short (~6 inches for the USB-C to USB-C cable). So if you want to have some reach outside of a device or computer, you're pretty much out of luck.
Using any other cable seems to make data transfer slow and buggy as heck (getting Error 0x8007045D constantly, stopping data transfers). But as soon as you use the cables provided in the box, the SSD comes to life and works as expected.
It's just a shame that you HAVE to use these short cables included in the box and nothing else, which means you better put these cables together with the drive in a bag, or put everything back in the box when you are done. Because if you don't, and you lose one or both of the cables included, you may as well throw the drive in the trash, because it effectively won't work with any other 3rd party USB-C Cable.

This drive is very reliable. Used about 6 of them in the post production process f a feature documentary film. Pro-tip: be care of your formatting when setting up the drive

Excellent product and excellent service of the staff when picking it up from the store.
The SSD is very fast and will upload tons of gigabytes in a couple of minutes

Fast, and create! Works perfectly for me. The texture of the case makes it even better for random loading. Do not have to worry about it sliding anywhere during unpredictable moments.
