I use Samsung T7 four TB external hard drives to capture uncompressed 4k video & as my MacBook Pro Time Machine backup. Excellent speed & durability as well as a good price.

Using for storage for everything not X/S on my Series X, brought to replace a 500GB i brought to demo. The 500GB was perfect just needed larger storage. 2TB is major upgrade and the speed is 2x faster than sata but only 1/3rd of the X/S internal memoery. I usually transfer at 5gb/s with X and this tranafers at around 2.2gb/s while sata tops out around 800mb/s when moving games (figures are what X box shows on screen). Very fast device, i formatted and tested and uodated the firmware on PC First using Magician before installing to Series X

I bought this to do external video recordings with my Panasonic DC-S52X, instead of using an SD card. This works excellently. It survived a drop. It runs fast. I can edit the video directly from the drive and have excellent performance in Premiere Pro.
It's also just plug and play for your computer. I let my camera format it for its use, which took seconds.
I bought the 2TB version, and it's done exactly as I hoped it would do. I definitely recommend it.

Very rugged and reliable SS (solid state) 2 Terabyte external drive. Comes with 2 USB cables for compatibility with any PC or Apple. USB connection on the Samsung SS Drive is a C type connector, which can be inserted in either of the two orientations (unlike USB-A). On Wikipedia you can see that turning a C connector 180 degrees, that the same pins connect to the drive or PC either way. Really genius. So this drive comes with a male USB-C on one side and a male USB-C on the other for most all Apple laptops and desktops. It also comes with a second cable which is USB-C for the SS drive side and a male USB-A or type A connector for mostly Windows PCs, like my Dell XPS, which has mostly type A female receptacles on front. Because type A only works in one orientation there is a USB symbol on only one side of the connector which usually faced up or on verticale slots the USB mark on the connector head goes to the right. A USB-C type has no USB symbol on it, indicating either orientation is correct. This drive RUNS OFF OF POWER FROM THE USB CABLE SO THERE IS NO OTHER POWER CABLES FOR THE SS DRIVE, Either of the USB cables described has more than enough power to run the drive extremely fast.

Excellent drive. Consistent speed in a small durable package. Great for on the go projects (photography, video, music, etc) that have large file sizes. Just throw one or two in your bag and you’re good to go.

I don't care about the water resistant case but it's a nice drive overall. It's a good size, not too big to be awkward and not so small that it's easy to lose. It really DOES hit read speeds of 1050MB/sec with the right USB port.

4TB SSD drive! What more can you say about this one??? It works it holds a crap ton of data, is portable and without any of the issues that typically plague portable IDE drives. These are also getting cheaper in price every year it seems like. Cant wait until i can get a 1pb version of these (Maybe another 5-10 years down the road lol).
Comes with 2 different cables USB A to USB C and then C->C as well. Rugged works and moderately priced.

It does the job. The size is very compact. It feels grippy and fun to hold. It is fast enough to install Steam games onto and play from it and that is why I bought it. The only annoying thing was when I connected it to my Samsung tablet, it was not recognized. I had to install the app for it to work on the tablet. I shouldn't have to install an app for the drive to work. The app also was janky and looks like it was designed by a highschooler. Still recommended though.

This has been by far my fastest and most reliable external hard drive yet! I'm a photographer and it's so important to have something that's both when working with memories and Lightroom. Worth every penny!

I use this 2TB external SSD to do image backups of my
laptop while traveling. I need a drive that has an IP65
water resistant rating, and that is rugged and tough.
I got a great deal during a Black Friday sale.

Had it for just over a year. For the price it appears durable and fast. Comes with both a USB-C to USB-C cord and an USB-A to USB-C cord.
Would like to see one with even more capacity than 4TB
