    Good, rugged hard drive. Lots of space. Respectable speeds for an HDD. Misleading transfer speeds (citing cable throughput as opposed to actual disk R/W ) knocks it down a star.

    Several files have been corrupted at random on this drive about a month into ownership. This is the most useless hard drive I’ve ever purchased. The purpose of using an actual hard drive is for its ability to retain data and less likely decomposition of data. The only really nice thing about the drive is the protective casing. I should have returned it instead of assuming it would stop happening.

    Drive did not work. I could see it in the "safely remove hardware and eject media" tab, but was not in file explorer or disc management. If I had known SanDisk is a Western Digital product, I wouldn't have purchased it. I've had less than positive experiences with WD drives in recent years that resulted in loss of data.

    I had this hard drive for three weeks and then it failed and I had just put all of my major project folders onto the drive just for a couple of hours while i cleared space on my SSD's and bam. $3600 to be able to get my files recovered.
