Great hard drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally, I do not buy into the "for mac" business for hard drives since about 99 percent of all hard drives work with Mac even if it does not explicitly say so. I bought this one because at the time, it was the same price as the on-mac version. Anyway, on to the hard drive itself. I got the 5TB model because my old 2TB model from Seagate I purchased about 3 years ago started to make clicking noises and right after I purchased the new hard drive, the old one died. USB 3.0 makes transfers very fast via a Macbook Pro Retina and the brushed silver look compliments the laptop if you are into that sort of thing. Also, it lays flat on your desk so while it does take up a bit more space, I prefer something like this versus hard drives that sit up on the desk, more prone to tip/fall over. Bottom line, nothing great, nothing bad about this hard drive, it serves my purposes well and it will probably suit me for another 3 years or so.

Quick, Quiet and Capable

I'm running Windows 10 on an HP tower and this is connected via USB 3.0. Transfers are fast and now I can load up so many more videos into my PLEX library.

Awesome storage for photos and video

Customer service was on point and transaction was painless. I've been using the product and it works perfectly. The only issue was that I had to format partitions for my mac but that was a breeze.

Speed matters

Well made enclosure and the drive itself is a 7200rpm drive. Most externals are 5400 so you have to check! Performs quickly over the USB3 connection.

Just what i was looking for

Lots of space
