This is a great expansion Hard drive massive amount of space usb 3.0 plug and play all day. I mainly bought it for the great price good product and price.

Does what i needed it to, use it to store older video projects, footage, and other media i may need for later projects. Easy plug and play, though it is powered separately.

Easy to install, Great protect, just the righr size.

Has large storage capacity. A reasonably fast drive for backup of valuable documents and photos. Much less expensive than an SSD with this capacity.

Was not immediately recognized as USB storage by my NAS but once I created a Volume, it saw the whole drive. Really no user instructions provided. Seems to be working fine, and very fast, even just over USB.

Lots of space to store my videos. Very easy to set up and use.

Purchased for work files that are important. This space is bigger than what I needed but I feel better knowing I am able to not run out of space for my files. Just what I needed speed, spacious , security and safety.

I believe I received an "open box" item because the drive was not recognized by windows when I connected it to my PC, nor were the "quick start" instructions in the box. A friend formatted the drive on a Linux box, then reformatted it on my PC, and it works well now. It turns out that this was a "blessing in disguise" because the drive as formatted by the factory cannot be used for windows "File History" backups. After setting it up, working well!

Vast improvement from old external hd. Had a 1 gig unit. served me well for a number of years. But new 8 gig...Great

Huge amount of memory, and the ideal backup for my entire system.

Very easy to get set up on desktop computer. Works very well. Speed between computer and drive seems to be very fast, cannot tell a noticeable difference when accessing computer drive or this drive.

Easy to configure to my PS5, ton of storage. Transferring data back and forth between the two is pretty fast as well

I thought it would be smaller and portable. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I have a smaller 4 gb thats portable and powdered by usb. I love it But I will make this work as my main dump drive. And keep my portables free space.

This was a game-changer for my computer; it really opened things up for me.

This will do the job for a mirror for my other external drive. Thus far, it does the job pretty nicely.

Works reliably and runs cooler than the equivalent competing WD external 8 TB drives.
