These are by far the best headphones for watching tv with. Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I love how you can make multiple settings to bring out the voices better.
Heavy, With Good Sound Quality, Some Signal Issues

A great Hi-Fi addition to my PC setup that lets me move around my apartment. I replaced a similar but older model of Sennheiser wireless headphones with this unit, and it's treated me fairly well. I find the headset on the heavy side, but comfortable nonetheless. Audio quality is great and I enjoy movies/music with the Bass Boost feature.
On the technical side, this headset has rather poor signal quality from the receiver that is more sensitive than other similar headphones to RF interference. I keep the receiver near my router, and the 2.4 GHz WiFi would cause frequent signal drops every minute or so with very few devices connected. I needed to reduce power to the 2.4 GHz radio in order to stop the audio dropping. Standing near a microwave will also kill the signal entirely. Mind where you store the receiver for these headphones!
Battery life is excellent for how much I use them - If they are installed into a PC setup like mine, just keep them plugged in when not in use and there shouldn't be a dead headset unless you try to pull some monster 14-hour session. You can replace the stock batteries with ONLY rechargeable AAs, which may improve battery life depending on what batteries you buy.

Excellent sound, relatively comfortable, and easy to pair with an additional headset so that two people can listen.
The only con, and it's one that, based on my research, is a problem with this unit, is the occasional sound dropouts. They are brief and random, but they happen often enough to be annoying. I purchased a higher-quality audio cable, and I'm going to try and move the receiver/transmitter away from my wireless router to see if that makes a difference.
I am puzzled by this problem because the lower-quality wireless headset combo I had previously never had these dropouts. I expected more from a higher-priced, higher-quality unit.

An AMAZING set of surround sound headphones. I’ve experience high end surround sounds, sound bar ss, and headphone ss, and these are the best I’ve experienced. I use them to watch movies in the evening and not disturb my downstairs neighbors and now I prefer them over regular ss! Totally worth it if you want immersion or to not disturb someone. The cushions are soft and breathable, my ears never sweat in them. The headband is comfortable and doesn’t squeeze your head. Overall very worth the price!

Great headphones! Has been great for not waking up the baby or the wife while I stay up and watch a show. I did but a optical cable splitter to split the cables between the soundbar and these headphones that way both devices work at the same time. No issues at all and sound quality is good!

We have previously purchased another brand name headphones and have found the need to replace every two years. I thought we’d give these a try. My husband loves them. Pros - the surround sound is amazing. Cons- volume control is too chunky, not a knob to slowly ease the volume.

The first 3 1/2 weeks after I bought them all was great surround sound. Everything was excellent! after that sound would drop away. And i would have to turn my head back and forth to pick it back. Then the next day it was back to normal. Then the next would do it again.so too late to return them. To hi priced to say oh well I was thinking about what can be done with them

From the manufacturer's description that says it can go 330 ft away from the receiver and through walls I just want 20 ft into my kitchen and I told him lost reception with receiver I was still in line of sight the receiver,so don't believe what the manufacturer description says it is not true,I'm returning this Sennheiser RS 175 headset back to Best Buy I expected more for price I paid for this headset.I don't recommend this headset because of limited range

These headphones are absolutely amazing. We purchased them for our dad, who is a disabled veteran and has some hearing loss. They have made such a huge difference in our home. He can now hear the TV clearly without us having to turn the volume up loud throughout the entire house.
They also work great with hearing aids, which was extremely important for us and made the experience even better for him. The setup was very simple and user-friendly, which was a big plus. The sound quality is excellent, and the comfort allows him to wear them for extended periods without any issues.
I highly recommend these headphones to anyone who shares a TV but needs two different volume levels. They’re a game-changer, especially for families with loved ones who have hearing difficulties.

These headphones sound very good. I usually turn on my stereo receiver (with full surround sound) to watch movies, but these headphones sound almost good enough not to do that. The sound would be good enough, but the surround effects wouldn't be there. Still they are a huge upgrade over just the TV speakers and I can pick up the dialog much better.
There is just a slight delay in the sound - you can't tell with just the headphones on, but if you take one ear off and have the TV sound on, you can tell there is a slight difference. You can't get this small of a delay with bluetooth headphones, bluetooth is way worse.
Haven't tried to run the batteries down to see the life span.
You do have to turn the headphones on each time you use them, even when taking them right off the charger. Takes maybe 5 seconds at most to connect.

I wear, and have worn, A LOT of headphones. Partly because I have a slight hearing loss in one ear and I don't want to blast sound from the TV just to hear. I've tried some less expensive products from companies who we all think are leaders in this industry. While the Sennheiser RS 175 headphones are on the pricey end, I probably could have saved myself time and money in the long run if I would have started my headphone journey by picking the RS 175. I no longer have a single iota of an issue with static/interference like I did previously. The sound these produce along with no more issues with interference alone make them well worth the premium cost. I've worn these for hours and hours with no discomfort at any point of contact. Having an over the ear headphones keeps the majority of the noise contained. If you are really blasting the volume in the headphones, there will be some sound that others, not wearing headphones, can hear. As I previously mentioned, I have tried all types of headphones from a super long wired set of headphones to multiple different wireless sets and I could have saved all of that time and money if I would have selected the Sennheiser - RS 175 headphones to begin with.

I use these mainly for gaming. Very good sound quality. Not the most comfortable to wear though till you dial it in perfectly and then they are ok. Wires are prone to being loosened by cats walking past it which results in a crackling noise, not a issue if you dont have a cat. Connectivity, can only go about 15-20 feet before audio starts cutting in and out, but my house is very solid so if you live in a house mostly compromised of drywall and dreams you can probably expect longer range.
