Nice TV, but not nice enough for the money.

This TV has nice color rendering, but no local dimming zones, making it look washed out in a dark room, even with the brightness turned down. Sound quality isn’t good enough for this price level either. Get something with local dimming zones, or just go with one of the low-spec OLEDs if you’re already willing to spend this much for a 42”. This TV is too expensive for what you get. With no local dimming, such mediocre sound quality, and the existence of better tech for similar money, this half-hearted attempt doesn’t even deserves a place in Sony’s lineup.

The only problem was that the delivery team did not leave the four wall mounting adapter bolts that replace the 4 factory bolts in the back of the TV.

Nice for the price but doesn’t do 4k at 120hrz

You can either use the 4k at 60hrz,or 1080p at 120hrz. I’m really disappointed in you Sony. Smh.

This TV can output content up to 4K 120 FPS depending on the game title. The X85K supports the features specified in HDMI 2.1 standard like 4K 120. Please note: 120 Hz is supported by HDMI IN 3 and IN 4, and you will have to set the HDMI signal format to "Enhanced".
To change the HDMI signal format setting, press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Channels & Inputs] — [External inputs] — [HDMI signal format] — [Enhanced format]. Also, to display 4K 120 Hz, an Ultra High-Speed HDMI™ Cable.
Also, to display 4K 120 Hz, an Ultra High-Speed HDMI™ Cable that supports 48 Gbps is required. Refer to the cable specifications to find out whether a cable supports 48 Gbps.

It just produces this odd treble noise. If you buy this tv you’re going to be stuck getting a sound bar due to how bad the sound is. Also return tv and replace it once and still getting same issue
