No keypad sucks bad. And third using the 4k @ 120htz. doesn't work with game consoles, won't be buying expensive Bravia ever again... smh

We are really sorry if our KD-43X85K didn't live up to your expectations. This is definitely not the news that we would like to hear. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. For the Google TV, Google TV is the operating system that controls the user experience of this TV. You can set up the KD-43X85K in "Basic mode." However, doing so does remove some functionality like installing apps, services and features that require signing into your Google Account, and Google Assistant. As for the keypad, if you are referring to the number buttons, the new remote of our KD43X85K has a number button (123 (Control menu) button - upper part) that will make a number pad appear on your television when needed.

My favorite gaming TV

Now that MW 2 supports 120hz I am using the TV to its fullest potential. I believe that a Sony TV is a must have if you have Playstation, to me everything works easier. I do watch shows on it and the UI is nice. I like the consistent updates they provide. TV UI is easy to use, can be hesitant to work at times but good system. Speakers sound okay but nothing great or poor about them. TV is light as well, easy to clean.

Eventually the current (v.1) television signals will be converted across America and the older television sets will no longer be able to receive the Over-The-Air (OTA) signals. In addition the 120Hz Refresh Rate makes watching the picture much, much easier on the eyes, than the older 60Hz rate. The Remote Control has no numbers (0-9) on it, so it does take a litttle bit of getting use to the remote control features, to change television channels.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a few TVs in this price range before(TCL, Hisense, Samsung) and this set has by far the best picture quality and picture/sound options than the others. Only real downside is that you don't get the contrast and black levels of OLED. Wonderful brightness for both SDR and HDR content. For some reason 1440p/120hz isn't supported currently, but 1080p and 4k work perfectly at 120. Great set for PC or PS5/XSX, but make sure it's in gaming mode for best input latency.

Surprises During Setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV to replace a functioning but aggravating Vizio TV that was about 3 years old. Generally, we are satisfied with this TV and intend to keep it. But, there are some surprising issues when compared to previous TVs we've owned. Our environment consists of a sound bar connected to the TV via an optical cable, and a Mac Mini connected to the HDMI1 port. Issue #1: the volume control on the TV DOES NOT regulate the volume over the optical cable connection, as previous TVs have done. You will need to regulate volume using the soundbar's own remote. Since we lost ours years ago, we get by by using an older TV remote that was "married" to the soundbar. Issue #2: During initial channel scan, the TV found 20 digital UHF stations. However, a number of these do not come in well enough to bear watching. The List function on the remote shows all of these, and there does not appear to be a way of removing stations that you don't want to view from the list. You can use Parental Control to block them, but they still appear on the list. Previous TVs allowed you to delete these items from the list. Issue #3: There is no documentation provided on how to effectively use the remote, either shipped with the product or available from Sony's website. So, you're left to flounder around to discover for yourself how things work, leading to the likelyhood of doing easy things the hard way.

For your first issue, as part of normal operation, we cannot adjust the volume of the connected audio system with the TV's remote control when using the digital optical cable connection. You will need to use its supplied remote control for volume adjustment. The audio device must be compatible with eARC/ARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel/Audio Return Channel) connection to adjust its volume (VOL or (Volume) +/- buttons) through the TV’s remote control. Cheapest reliable 4k@120hz tv

I feel like sony definitely is looking out for lower budget customers that are looking to extend the limits of their new gen consoles. I have an Xbox series X and it has run great so far. Just make sure to change the input settings since the default input settings won’t allow you to run 120hz. Other than that, just hoping this tv will last for a while especially since it’s a sony.

While streaming the TV sporadically disconnected from my wifi and buffered so often to make watching a movie impossible. When I installed my Roku stick and bypassed the google operating system, streaming problems disappeared. Also, the remote control needs a numeric key pad.

FINALLY! Small screen TV with superior picture!
