I finally upgraded my sony XBR1 . I looked into the oled from Sony , WOW what a great picture ,the A8G is a fantastic tv .the picture stays constant at all viewing angles which makes for a great bedroom wall mount tv.

Sony hit it out of the park with this tv. It has incredible colors and the picture is amazing. I had a Samsung qled that I thought was the her best until I got this. Blows the other tv out of the water.

We wanted a somewhat larger TV than we had. This one is 55". Particularly like/appreciate have a Acoustic Surface. Speakers in the location (behind TV surface) works very well...and is much easier to hear and hear clearly. Huge plus. Also, the colors are truly vibrant without being artificial or garrish. It is also extremely thin, which is great for placement. Did not have it mounted...and the viewing is ideal. Since it's an OLED, we do get some reflections on the surface during that day. Not an issue for us as we rarely have the TV on during the day. If you haven't seen this TV in person, do yourself a favor. Go see it and listen to it. We no longer feel we need a sound bar for sound.

Hard to beat this Sony on picture. We narrowed down to Sony and LG OLED, but after a couple weeks of research through various technical reviews, we decided that Sony will be our pick. The side by side image comparison in the store, and a further discussion with a very well informed Best Buy technical staff confirmed our choice, for best natural picture experience overall. So, unless you do a lot of gaming, where LG scores a few points, go with this Sony OLED.

Replaced my 12 year old Samsung plasma with this Oled. Absolutely no issues so far. I don’t get the darkness complaints, it looks real good. No need to buy anything more expensive or anything that’s just came on the market. The A9g has NOTHING on this set, my neighbor has it, they look identical. In the reviews the pros complain about the remote, I haven’t needed it since the initial setup. Funny to hear them have issues with the looks or feel of the remote, plastic/metal. Bonus= purchased for $1499. No brainer!

Very good picture. Lot of nice features and ability to connect to the internet and voice activated remote. The only draw back is that the remote doesn't light up in the dark. So, you have to memorize where the buttons are since you can't see them in the dark. Besides the remote, it's a great product.

I’ve owned Sony TVs and I’ve been very impressed with them so I decided to upgrade. The picture on this is amazing! I do sleep with my tv on and it does have a sleep timer however I tend to forget to use it. My last Sony powered off every 4 hours so it would automatically turn off unless I wanted it to remain on. Since I’ve bought this TV, I had a hard time finding the sleep timer, but I then found it in the app. Even though I found the app, I don’t use the sleep timer and as a result my tv has remained on 24 hours a day since I’ve bought it. The TV does go into slide show mode and I get to watch landscapes, but I’m worried that my TV is on way too much. When I get up, the first thing I want to do is watch TV. The last thing I want to do is turn it off. I gave this a four star only because this TV does not turn itself off unless I use the sleep timer or if I actually use the remote to turn it off. I will give a five star only when Sony makes an adjustment to their app to auto turnoff in increments of 1 hour, 2 hour, or 4 hour like it’s previous versions.

I like Sony products. Before this purchase I owned two Sony TVs which never failed to operate. This was purchased at a time when I had two perfectly operating sets: a Sony and a Samsung but the sets were not smart TVs. My ONLY regret after purchasing this set was that I had not done it earlier. I had feared that the set might be a challenge to my skills but I’ve had no trouble setting it up with Prime and other sources of entertainment and information in addition to cable. I was sufficiently impressed that within two months of this purchase I replaced the bedroom tv with a slightly smaller Sony smart TV.

I purchased my tv in October 2019 and out of the box it was fantastic, great picture, now not so much. A couple of months ago I started to see a horizontal line across the top 3rd of the screen, now it looks like whatever is behind the screen is coming through the picture. The picture still looks great but lines kill the joy.

Really easy to setup, wonderful picture, color, contrast with the darkest blacks. Great for football! And got price match savings in the first 30 days to buy more. Win all around!

My first OLED tv. I always buy Sony due to great quality, processor and most realistic natural color. OLED tv shows bright color and dark ink blacks.

I got this on sale for about $1700 - At this price range I feel it was very much worth it. I did not feel I had a need for the extra features with the much more expensive A9G. You will probably want to have cinemotion set to high and motionflow set to True Cinema. The picture is so sharp and detailed that what you used to see as blur will show up as jitters and stutters which can be distracting but by engaging these settings I found it replaced the stutters with the more natural looking blur

Very easy to use and is the perfect size for our viewing area. The picture is fantastic and we have it easily controlled by the Sony remote as well as my iPhone!

We bought this tv for my father in law he loves it! This tv has a great picture! The colors are wonderful. The size is prefect for his room.

Set up was self explanatory have been wowed by it everytime I turn it on. Looked at for a year before I purchased and man am I glad I purchased it. The sound is tremendous also. If you like a beautiful picture you had better buy this TV. The staff at Best Buy was very knowledgeable about it also and helped in buying wall mount and other things that enhanced my viewing experience.

This is my first OLED TV. It is presents the best picture of all my TVs. I have owed this TV for a month. So far no signs of burning.

I started looking at a 65" Sony smart tv, way too big. My head and eyes were going left to right, up and down. Yikes. Next I went with a Sony OLED 55" smart tv. Also, too big. Same thing, my head and eyes were going left to right, up and down. Yikes. I next went with the Sony 43" smart tv, just the right size and it is awesome. Everything I would like in a smart tv. I will buy another one for the bedroom, same one too. Thanks Best Buy for allowing me to return the 55" Sony after trying it out and receiving a full refund.

Picture quality, vibrant color & sound all make this set a worthwhile buy. The gaming experience is taken to the next level.

this tv is stunning. I can't tell you the number of times I starred at the display in store before I finally bit the bullet and bought it. the image is so crisp and vivid. even blu-ray and regular DVD's have improved quality on this tv. I feel like I don't even have to buy 4K dads. worth every penny!! I can't really say anything about sound quality, as I use a sound bar/subwoofer for audio.

What can I say that nobody doesn’t already know about Sony ? Sony is the best . Amazing picture and sound ! Love everything about this tv . When I first seen the a8 and a9 on the display at Best Buy I wanted it right away . It was pricey . I actually bought the lg c9 before I purchased a8 . But I am please in every aspect. It’s not the a9 but I still packs a punch for the money . I recommend this to anybody that doesn’t own a oled tv yet , you will not regret this purchase!
