This TV, at first glance, has everything I wanted. Contrast levels that rival OLED, without any possibility of burn-in, Google TV powered OS so I finally didn't need an additional separate box, etc. On paper, it was a brilliant idea.
But then I got to use it. Not only is the screen not as anti-glare as I hoped, but the processor is underpowered (criminal when spending $4K on a TV).
They released an update for it which now messed with inputs and the ability for the TV to see the content coming from HDMI devices without a restart. To make matters worse there are only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports - and one of them is the eARC port, so if you have a high end dolby atmos surround system - you're out of luck on connecting 2 consoles.
Overall, I'm disappointed in the cost saving choices on Sony's most premium model, and the now issues has made it an absolute non starter. Extremely disappointed to not have a truly premium option with Google TV built in in the US.

NOT HAPPY WITH BEST BUY CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased a Sony Bravia 9 TV in an open box that was said to be in excellent condition and it said it included all accessories and parts that come with a new unit. I scheduled a wall install with Geek Squad which took two and a half weeks to get and when they opened the box there was no remote. They could not set the tv up as it has no buttons on the tv to change inputs or enter settings. I tried to call the store I picked it up at but keep getting a call center instead of the store and they said I would have to go back to the store to report the missing remote. Problem is the store is i0 miles one way and if I could talk to the manager on the phone they could order the missing remote and have it sent to me. I don’t think I should have to drive 160 miles to get something that should have been in the box which was supposed to have been checked by the Geek Squad at the store before putting the item for sale as an excellent open box item. I found the remote that is shipped with this model,for purchase online and it will cost me $70.00 to get the OEM remote. I would be happy if Best Buy would apply a $70.00 credit to my card on file or send me a Sony Remote model RMF-TX920U. This makes me regret purchasing an open box unit and leads me to believe even if Best Buy says all essential accessories are included that is not always the case. I think it is poor customer service when you can’t talk to the local store manager and instead are routed to,a call center that has no authority to,correct a bad situation.

Picture is great but Sony doesn’t play well with others. Sonos Arc sound bar does not say connected and Sony does not interface with Xfinity. Would never buy another Sony.

The difficulty in getting external devices to stay connected is often related to the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) feature. We recommend the following steps to resolve these interoperability issues:
1. Perform a Power Reset: - Turn off the TV and the Sonos Arc. - Unplug both devices from the power outlet and disconnect the HDMI cord for two minutes. - Reconnect the HDMI cable, ensuring it connects to the eARC port on both the TV and the soundbar. - Plug both devices back into the power. Power on the TV first, and then power on the Sonos Arc.
2. Enable BRAVIA Sync: Using your Sony remote, follow these steps to ensure CEC is properly enabled: Settings > Channels and Inputs > External Inputs > BRAVIA Sync Settings > BRAVIA Sync Device List > Select Enable
3. Xfinity Connection If you are using an Xfinity cable box, please ensure it is securely connected via an HDMI cable to the TV.
- If you are not getting a picture, use your TV remote to press the Input button and confirm that you are selecting the correct HDMI input port where the cable box is connected.
- Please also ensure your TV has the latest software update by navigating to: Settings > System > About > System Software Update > Software Update

Nice tv; however the picture seems darker than my last Sony, particularly in the lower third. No Sony instructions on how to adjust the brightness - or for anything else, for that matter.

This tv was awesome. Until sony decided to bork it with a software update. Picture settings no longer work. Now the tv is useless. Absolutely horrible. I lost close to 4 grand unless Sony wakes up and fixes it, but I’m not holding my breath. Customer support is non existent. They pretend they care and will tell you “Sony listens” but that’s a bunch of baloney.

Last time I buy mini Led tv , picture flickers a lot which I find annoying sending it back now
We sincerely apologize for the frustration and annoyance caused by the flickering you are experiencing with your new BRAVIA 9, which is certainly not the premium viewing experience we strive to deliver. Before returning the unit, we recommend trying a simple Power Reset by unplugging the TV for two minutes, or checking your Picture Settings to ensure the "Black adjust" and "Adv. contrast enhancer" features are set to OFF, as these can sometimes cause noticeable brightness shifts or flickering. If the issue continues after these steps, we understand your decision, but please know we stand behind our product quality.

Bravia 9 Flat Screen TV

I have been completely satisfied with my upgrade to the Bravia 9 flat screen TV. The picture quality and brightness has been great, best I have ever had. I originally purchased a Sony XR65X90L - 65", was dissatisfied and made an upgrade to SONY K75XR90L - 75" Bravia 9. Bestbuy was great with the upgrade. They picked up previous Sony TV and delivered and setup new upgraded TV. With JBL surround speaker system and new Denon AVR-S970H Receiver, everything sounds great. I also purchased SONY ultra HD Blue Ray/DVD Player to match TV. My speaker system is 22 years old, using total of 6 speakers and everything sounds great. I might purchase Kiplisch speaker system at Christmas time, but I am very happy with what I have now. My present system is like being in a movie theater.
I want to say thank to the Bestbuy crew that helped with this whole process, especially Jaden. Jaden was great with entire setup and delivery process and his installation Associates. The whole setup went way beyond my expectations.

I’ve been enjoying my Sony since the day Geek squad installed it. The quality of the video and audio are unmatched. Whether I am watching a movie or sporting event, it’s pure enjoyment, you almost feel like you are there in person! The best mini LED by far

If you are afraid of OLED due to burn-in or not being bright enough then the Bravia 9 is the way to go, It feels like you are watching a top of the line OLED TV but its so much brighter than OLED. Its the best TV ive ever seen and my only regret was getting the 75 instead of the 85. If i was still within my return window, i would have exchanged it for the 85.

picture is perfect sound is poor for the amount it cost it should sound a lot better and there answer is buy a sound bar. then charge less so people can buy the sound bar. sony went from top of the line to just another average tv
