Picture quality is great. Handles motion well. Easy physical install. TV weighs about 100 pounds. You will need a sturdy wall mount to handle the weight. Definitely requires two people to install on mount. The Google interface and integration is hard to avoid, if you choose not to use the integrated Google home infrastructure. The sound is great! Much better than any other flat LED TV that I have seen before. The sound quality from the builtin speakers is so good that I opted to not use my Bose sound bar.

It is freakin' huge! I completely redesigned a room for it and bought a sofa pit and a rowing machine! It is perfect in that room. Be sure it fits your space!

The 85” Sony is great. Beautiful picture. Easy guides. One remote controls everything! Only problem was not being able to hang it by myself, haha. Just because it was so big.

Using this TV to replace the projector in small office. Its cheaper than Projector for high quality presentation. Also reliable and easy to use.

This Tv is legit, probably favorite is watching sports on it. But watching movies is on another level! The set up of the tv was actually pretty cool

We purchased this 85" Sony TV and the picture is so clear, vibrant and beautiful. The remote is easy to use and the TV is very user-friendly.

I spent a lot of time, as most people do looking for a TV, and I finally decided on this one. My search started with looking at much more expensive TV's but then I realized that spending $4 - $5000 on a TV wasn't a smart decision. Also, if you do your research you'll find that the TV's only last 6 - 8 years nowadays and I took that into account. If I was going to spend 4K on a TV I would expect to last at least 8 years but that's not the case. In fact, the TV I was replacing died after only 6 years of VERY little use. I settled on this one cause it's the best bang for the buck. I REALLY wanted to X91J or X95J but I couldn't justify the extra $800 to $1500 those would cost. When I looked at the 3 TV's side by side at BB the difference in picture was definitely noticeable, make no mistake about that, but it wasn't $800 or $1500 noticeable. This one suits my needs, streaming is fast and the Google TV is snappy, quick and east to use. Menu is also very easy to use. Plenty of connections and it has a great picture. I still haven't messed around with the calibration but I'm sure I can get it better than it is, but it's great out of the box. The only cons is it does get cloudy, is how I would describe it, when you're looking at the TV from an angle it's better or worse depending on what you're watching. Still looks good and I only notice it when I'm walking into the living room and looking at it from the side but it's there. If you have seating that's going to always be viewed from an extreme side angle you'll notice it. Wireless disconnects A LOT, maybe once every couple of days, it reconnects in a few minutes. I think it's pretty common with all Smart TV's though, I've been as patient as I can with the wireless issue so I'm just going back to my Roku for streaming. I have a 1gig connection with the router under the TV so it's not my network. My external soundbar was configured with no interaction from me so it's nice to have the Sony remote control the Soundbar and the TV. Although sometimes it does get a little quirky and you have to mess around to get the soundbar working again. Overall if you're looking for a great TV that wont break the bank I would recommend. If you want a better picture go with the X91 or X95. I would also say, I wanted the 85 inch, if you're looking for a smaller TV I would go with the other 2 as well just because the price difference on smaller TV's isn't as great as the 85 inch. At 85 the price jumps significantly.

Picture is great and smooth. Can’t find one thing that is below average truly a solid tv.

I bought a new house and wanted the best tv I can buy with a reasonable price for my living room. So I bought this SONY tv and a mount. The TV is awesome and works very well. I am able to connect my switch and Xbox and it works with awesome picture. Of course there is a downfall to anything. The con for this tv is that it does not reflect the glare well but i can still watch movies during the day no problem. I do not regret my purchase. It’s a good tv.

The Sony X85J is a fantastic tv. Of course the 85" size is great but so is the sound quality, ease of access and operation to all functions. Google Apps are a plus with a lot of apps available. Sound quality is great, picture is superb and even the upscaling from older programs, DVDs, etc. is great! Sony got it right! Warning: If you're mounting this on a wall, get 2 strong men and a mule! because of the size and the weight, it was difficult with just 2 of us.

I love my t.v. It’s big and nice up against my wall in the den. And my husband loves it.

After two years of ownership I must say I am underwhelmed by this TV, especially since it is a Sony. Software is sluggish. Not enough storage for the number of apps you need now days. I have had to factory reset the device more than twice, in only two years. I've seen better quality in lesser known brands than this. Disappointing. Only 60 hz, but the picture is good. Not great. Good.

Screen size is exactly what i needed. Sound does requires a sound bar to enhance base.

Best tv ever, we currently have four Samsung in each room and we always having trouble with their system, not with out Sony tv. We are able to download apps that Samsung doesn’t offer and the home layout is a better! We’ve had it for three years now and never faced a problem
